  • I've got one of this and it's the best one out there. Beats the Blackvue 650s

    • +1

I've got a 650S 2 Channel and probably would've bought this as I paid a little more for my 650S. But they both have their pros and cons, I would say they're very similar depending if you need the land departure warning, or if you need better cloud access.

    • I have ordered a119 from gearbest. For me a119 was expensive until i read your post.

  • Ahh, I've had my eye on this as I think it's the best Dashcam available?

Use this code to get 10% off

    CAUZ10

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/273648

    • Didn't realise there was a code currently available. Wish I knew this before I bought it.

    • Even though its from the UK?

    • Only valid for oz sellers. Applied in the cart but charged for full amount. See my post below.

  • Is this easy to install?

    • If you have to ask… then the answer is "probably not".

Personally I would prefer a 4K GoPro for that price

    • +1

But does the GoPro all the additional futures listed in the post?

    • +1

A goPro would be able to record but to doesn't record on a loop. Also, you'd have to turn it off and on everytime you get in and out of your car.

      • -6

        I know that bro.
I have 2 GoPros and 3 dash cams.
And I would never ever use GoPro to record in my car.

    • This is not an action cam. This is a twin-camera dashcam. Cameras that contain batteries are not suitable for use in a car due to heat issues.

      • -5

        Obviously you guys misunderstood me:(

I didn't say I'll use GoPro as a dash cam.
What I mean is that I would like to spend the money on an action cam.

Okay, but it's not a useful comment to make as you could write the same thing for any of the bargains posted on this site.

          @kahn:
Should all the comments on OzBargain be useful?
I just wanted to share my own opinion, that's why I said "personally".

@leoh: "cool story bro" was invented for people like you

    • +2

I would prefer to save my money than buy a 4K GoPro

  • The recording in Park Mode is an important feature to me

  • Thanks for posting, great price on this unit. Spewing i jumped the gun without checking any discount codes!

  • Does eBay remove VAT in the price?

    • No, you pay the price it is listed for.

  • Cool great find op. Still happily using the 650s at the moment.

I've recently bought 2 off this seller (one delivered, other on its way). Transit time was quicker than stated on ebay and product was sealed. No complaints and a lot cheaper than Aus sellers.

In regard to install, they are quite easy to install if you are ok to take off internal paneling etc to hide the cord. You can then use a add-a-circuit fuse to wire it properly (need 2). There is a cheaper way to just twist the wires around an existing fuse if you want to do it that way. The park mode works quite well and using the older but basically the same cam F750, never had a flat battery even when the vehicle has been sitting for 2 weeks+.

The only annoying thing is you can't turn off the start up voice. On a whole, I think this is the best choice in the market at the moment if you are looking for a dual cam setup. Never had an issue with it operating in high temps (F750) but I think the LDWS is stupid and just have that as well as FCWS turned off all the time which is easy with the app.

For anyone running a dashcam in park mode, just a big warning, I've had a powermagic pro with Blackvue 650 on my BMW for 16 months, and am now getting battery alarms due to the constant decharging whilst parked (ie battery is now dying). The problem is all BMW since 2005 are AGM batteries (ie very expensive), it's a $700 job to get replaced. If you're going to get a park mode camera then I suggest a deep cycle second small battery install, particularly if you have an expensive AGM main car battery. Your car needs coding each time the main battery is changed too!

      • With the Thinkware, you can select through the app what V you want to run down to as well as select what time parking mode is to be active for.

        • You can do the same for the Powermagic Pro (12 to 12.5V), you can also set the timer from 6 hours through to infinite. I've got mine running 12V cut off with a 6 hour timer, works great so far.

        • @Yowiefied: Actually the thinkware is not only more configurable but a lot easier to set (and change) using the app. The powermagic is just an additional clunky item whose only purpose as a band aid to solve a limitation. It's a comparison likened to a 1990 Commodore to a 2010 Commodore in my opinion. With the ability for finer control on the amount of time spent on parking mode as well as the sensitivity level and various Voltage settings, its a clear leader over a promagic and could be a solution to the issue that womble stated.

        • That''s not the issue mate, the problem is AGM batteries are not designed for this and any park mode camera is going to really shorten the life and they're really expensive especially with install/programming costs. Powermagic is programmable. Turns out my car computer needs new software profile for eachbattery and charging profile changes according to battery age. No matter how programmable the powermagic or thinkvue is, I dont think you should install park mode camera with any AGM battery.

  • Ordered one but charged for the full amount. The discount voucher specified did apply but on the transaction it was charged the full amount. Queried with ebay and received an email stating that the voucher was only valid for Australian sellers so couldnt be applied on the final amount. Well, a big disappointment with the voucher code but still thumbs up OP for a great find. Still cheaper than any other oz sellers.
