Avenue Q - All Remaining Tickets $49 @ Crown Perth

100

I saw it at the Regal Theatre a few years ago and can highly recommend. Incredibly hilarious. Its run ends Saturday 10 December so not many shows left but plenty of tickets do remain.

Avenue Q

WARNING: FULL PUPPET NUDITY AND OTHER VULGARITIES WILL INDUCE LAUGHTER.

The hilariously side splitting Avenue Q is returning Perth for a strictly limited season, bringing audiences a show that is part flesh, part felt and packed with heart. Winner of the TONY(R) TRIPLE CROWN for BEST MUSICAL, BEST SCORE and BEST BOOK, Avenue Q is an irreverently witty and outright uproarious insight into a world where Sesame Street-esque puppets rub shoulders with humans.

This is a puppet show, but not your average kids' puppet show. Join us as we follow the life of Princeton, a bright eyed college graduate navigating his way through the multicultural, and at times raucous neighborhood Avenue Q in New York City.

Be prepared to be transported into a world of puppet debauchery, where puppets and humans mingle with gregarious consequences. From sexual congress, failed childhood stardom and excessive drinking to finding your purpose in life, Avenue Q hilariously navigates adult life from a puppet's point of view!

  • Saw this off Broadway when I was in NYC great show, highly recommended.

    • Ditto. Hilarious show.

  • Full puppet nudity?
I saw this twice, and I dont recall actual nudity.
Not that I care, but, you'd think I'd remember!

    • They had that sex scene remember. It is puppets after all not much to see.

      • It might be in the revised edition.

Did they end up taking the Gary Coleman character out?
Because in that scene, it was half obscured by a high rise window, with Gary down the bottom floor telling people "Hell no I wont tell them to keep it down".

        • I've seen it the times with three different production companies. It depends on the direction of the show. It is designed to be unobscured but puppets but has been done partially obscured and even only implied with shadows!

Gary Coleman ain't ever leaving Avenue Q!

        • Yep depends on the production company. The original in NYC wasn't obscured. And yep Coleman ain't ever leaving!

        • @KBZ: Nice.
I head talk of them removing him after the death.

Considering the accents I think I saw the original production cast.
          Absolutely amazing.
