Combine with AMEX offer if applicable for extra savings

    • Yes! Such an awesome pairing of deals, already redeemed / credited by AMEX.

I assume scanning the picture probably won't work…

    • It works, I tried it myself last week with the previous code.

    • Yeah it works on their scanner. I did it with the previous code as well with no issues

      • Some stores have updated scanner, some not, id depends.

But if you use android phone, you can try save the barcode on Android Pay.

        • If you use a Samsung phone, use Beep'nGo app to create a 2D barcode

    • Sometimes turning your phones brightness up to max increases the contrast and barcode scans easier.

If shopping somewhere I don't know the till/barcode scanner I print a physical copy and throw in my wallet, just incase.

      • Android Pay App automatically adjust the contrast or backlight

Go to selfcheck out - the staff sometimes get mad at photocopies

I've never begun to understand this employee attitude. I used to work for a multinational and considered it working for the absolute devil and did everything to ensure customers were getting the absolute best deal available, to my knowledge…it was always a great feeling to know you were putting money back in their pocket rather than the banks.

        • +1

YES!! Keep the customer happy and they will come back for more. A few years ago I would never have considered dealing with a 'hasbeen' company like AMEX, and now I am their number one fan!!

    Remind me to scan this

    • +21

      Scan this.

    • Scan what?

      • Scan this

        • +1

I copy and printed 'this', I hope that it will work :)) Maybe I should have printed 'that'

  • excludes TAS because there is barely competition therefore shopping at woolworths is a necessity? or is it because of something else?

    • Woolworths in TAS doesn't take Woolworths Rewards.

      • Do you know why?

        • +6

It all dates back to when the Woolworths stores were independently owned and known as Purity and Roelf Vos. http://bit.ly/2hdQ5Eb

The stores were bought up and later rebranded to Woolworths but the loyalty program has stuck. It's called FSC (Frequent Shopper Club) and has a standard earn rate of 1℅ vs WW rewards 0.5% standard earn rate. So in some ways it is actually better.

        • @wherestheid: wonder what their prices are like down there though…

  • +3

If it doesn't scan you can actually enter the barcode manually. Enter product code and type in the barcode number.

  • Why not Tas?

    • +29

      Australia only.

      • You mean Australia mainland only or am I missing something? Please tell, I'm new here..

        • Yep, not for people with 2 heads.

  • I'm not sure if it was part of it, but last night I did a $220 shop and got told I'll have a $20 credit for my next shop. The wife went to grab a couple of things for work today and got told she had a $20 credit and did she want to use it.. Seems Woolies are giving them out all the time now.. The last few weeks I've spent over $100 Ive got $10 credit every time..

    • Just to clarify, I picked up a bottle of wine the night before and got $10 off from BWS.. I shop at Coles & Woolies but seems every time I spend $100 at Woolies in a week I get $10 added to my rewards card..

      • Along the same lines, I got an email from W's saying "click here and we will add 1000 points to your account for free"

  • +5

What do you normally purchase to spend over $100 in supermarkets?
I struggle to spend even $30 in one go.

    • If you spend another $70 before Decemeber 18 and you'll get a bonus 1550 reward points worth $7.75 without using the barcode.

    • Kids make bills slightly more insane. I spend more than $30 a week on fruit.

    • Same I guess this is too encourage bulk buying and more longer stocking.

For me I could stock up on lots of bread and cheese and nachos ingredients as well as milk but the trip home would be insane by foot.

      • This is what those canvas trolleys are for. People at Bondi Junction have to put up with me and my overstuffed trolley + additional bags, on the bus home to Coogee every couple months.

        • What is this canvas trolley you speaketh of?

          Is it the granny trolley?

I definitely need something for my periodical grocery run.

  • Every $100 I spent in WW stores will earn me 1550 bonus points and the promotion ends on Dec 18.

    • Can you explain this further please ?

  • Can this be stacked with cash back rewards for new customers + Amex offer ?

  • Opal recharge yet? Doesn't mention excluding opal.

    • +1

^Excluded products are smoking products, gift cards, mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile, travel cards and tickets, delivery charges, internet cafes, Carpet Care, Woolworths Flowers and lottery.'

    • They have always had an exclusion for travel cards and tickets, but Opal used to work as it is technically neither. They have since excluded it now as I have tried it and the last times there was no bonus points. I think I saved $50 all up before they decided to apply a liberal interpretation of that exclusion.

  • For anyone that's concerned if a pic on their phone of a barcode will scan… there are sites where you can enter the numbers, that then displays the barcode as a picture. Just print that, cut it out, put it in your wallet.

  • I use an app called Beep n'Go.. It works without fail with all loyalty cards and scanners..

    • Samsung only. That's why I still stick with Samsung as I find this feature to be very useful.

    • +1

How come Beep n'Go needs my Contacts and location???

      • I'm curious to know why, too.

        • Location so that it can remind you to scan your card at particular locations.. Contacts not sure..

  • Thanks

  • Is there any current promotion code for spending $100?

  • +2

Could you please add 10WRWOW2 and barcode 9348593002584 to this deal - I picked up this voucher from Woolworths for next week - https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/180268/44660/img_0579.…
    Same barcode as last time.

    • Wonder if they stack :)

      • +1

Seems unlikely that they would stack -'Not valid in conjunction with any other offer.'
However, a single voucher will stack with targeted promo offers eg. Spend $X each week for 4 weeks, earn X WW Dollars.

  • Just in case anyone is worried, I've generated the same barcode here

  • Trying to use it online. Both codes don't seem to work for me.
I have the free delivery saver from last deal. Is it that the code won't stack with free delivery?

    • +2

Read post - Offer runs 12/12/2016 to 18/12/2016

      • Silly me. I will have to wait a few days. :)

  • +1

I've done two of these in the past by printing out the file on the Oz Bargain website. The POS has scanned the bar code and the receipt has acknowledged the points but the points have never been applied to my account. I've had to contact Wollies and ask them to apply the points. I truly believe their rewards system is dishonest. I've had other targeted promo's emailed to me, i.e. spend $XX for X weeks and receive points and I've had to contact them after the time period with the receipts and tell them to apply the points because I've done what was expected but their system hasn't rewarded me.
I suggest to always keep a tally of your receipts and marry it up against the points on the rewards website.

  • +1

Silly me tried to use it today.

  • -2

it should highlight the period time to use it, not only the $$ amount to save. you don't care to read the t&c then you don't get that points if using it this week.

  • I presume this would be invalid if shopping x weeks for $x dollars?

    • These vouchers do stack with targeted promo offers. I used a voucher from this deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/277203 last week in conjunction with a targeted (X weeks for X WW Dollars) spend to earn the extra $10, no worries at all.

      • +1

Thanks, I'll give it a try next week.

  • If you enjoy specials catalogues, this offer period overlaps 2 weekly catalogues.

  • Sadly "Promo code 10WRWOW2 cannot be used with any other promo code"

  • Coupon code "10WRWOW2" has been successfully applied.
But the 2000 points were not added, not like last "10WRWOW". Anyone have the 2000 points added after making the payment?
    https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/83594/44793/wws.png

    • Not yet, but I have not collected my order yet. My order/invoice is not yet showing up either though. It might go on Delivery/Collection, as orders can be cancelled up until collection. https://www.woolworths.com.au/Shop/MyAccount/MyInvoices

    • Same, I collected my order today, I just checked online and I got 1000 bonus points ?? I'll be calling them in the morning.

  • Thanks, 2000 points were shown in the order screen after ordering online with 10WRWOW2. I think the points will be added after the order has been processed, as Peck has suggested.

  • Made 4 Orders. 2000 points show on check out but not on rewards account. I will wait till orders are delivered and see if the points are added to the account.

  • Does this apply if you purchase online groceries and alcohol from BWS in the one shop? And the same for the AmEx deals (spend 100, get 20 back and 15% off total price in cashback), will it apply for dual food and alcohol purchase on one invoice ?

    • Last fortnight I stacked
2000 points for $100 spend coupon code
      1000 points for $50 alcohol
      1600 points for $70 (targeted)
Placed online order of approx $50-60 onsale alcohol remaining groceries (normal grocery Xmas ham, soft drink etc)

My shopping cart was showing up the 4700 points when checking out.

Paid with discounted gift cards so not sure on amex

      • Whats this points thing? How do u get these? I'm a Rewards Customer… is this automatic? I know u get points when u shop but I thought it was 1 per $1 ?

        • 1 point for every $1 spent is everyday they also have promos
This thread is for bonus 2000 points for $100 spend
2000 points valued at $10 towards a future shop

        • @Bad Wolf:
Ta mate, did u have to sign up to this…..I never read emails LOL

        • @dazzza:
The rewards system changed for everyone last year then again a few months ago.

Occasionally you'll receive via email from Woolworths offers specific to your card number (targeted) ie 2000 bonus points for spending $50 in one transaction from Monday x date to Sunday x date
          Pays to read these emails

Others like this one are handed out in store usually for future 1-2 weeks.

    • I stacked both deals recently on a $100 mixed alcohol/grocery spend as posted here:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/280023

Got $20 Amex cashback & $10 EDR credited for my next shop.

  • 4 Orders.
    1 Cancelled because insufficient stock.
3 Arrived and 6000 points added.

Can all 6000 points (i.e. $30) be used all in one go or is it only $10 off per transaction?

    • +1

All $30 may be used at once

      • Cheers.

Going to be pretty happy with my grocery shop this weekend. :)

      • I did an online order to qualify for the above. Already had a $10 Woolworths credit on my account to spend…. I didn't redeem it as I thought if they cancelled a few items it may go under the $100 required. Going to do another order now and still shows only $10 on my ww account, yet it did show 2140 ww points when I placed the order thru. Does it take a while for the extra $10 to appear in ww rewards and my ww online account ?

        • +1

Usually takes about 1-2 days after the order is picked up to get the bonus 2000 points. If you don't receive, give Woolies a call

  • This works in Tasmania for click and collect, as long as you have a Woolworths Rewards card

  • Another silly question… can u order just alcohol through woolworths online to get the amex and 2000 points deal? Or do u have to have food with it?

Otherwise I would just order thru BWS (but they don't have amex deal)
