Sunbeam KE9500 Cool Blue Kettle $47.20 @ The Good Guys eBay

80
C20TGG

Decent price, much cheaper than elsewhere.

Warning! This kettle has horrible review at http://www.productreview.com.au/p/sunbeam-ke9500.html

However, I've bought 1 last year at $79 and have been using it till now without any issues - No rust or leaking or broken switch.

More like Daggy Blue Kettle, but I guess that is subjective…

The glass housing lets you see the rust form on the steel plate as you use it. nice.

      Isn't it calcification?

      • That's a great show

Pay your surgeon very well to break the spell of aging.

    • Any one knows how to get rid of the rust?

Place some lemon juice on the bottom - let sit for 10 min. Add some water and put the kettle on boil. Let it sit for another 10 min. Rinse out kettle and all marks should disappear.

        • Thanks.

      • I've used Bi-Carb Soda with a Sponge, worked fine.

    • Does this happen with steel kettles? The rust that is.

    .
The important question; is it a FAST BOIL Kettle ? I got one from Kmart $39.95 and it's as slow as anything boiling….. looking for an improvement
strange how I never thought of cleaning the inside of a kettle until I got a glass one ! Lucky I always boiled the water in them before drinking it !!!

I doubt it is the store's fault. You should follow it up with the manufacturer…

It's probably the KMart homebrand type one.

    • I only use filtered water in them. No marks in a glass kettle similar to this (Breville) after 2 years.

  • I've found that all glass kettles have horrible reviews on productreview. Unless someone can point me to one that doesn't. I'm interested in getting one for the coolness factor.
