Randomly saw this new interactive toy from Hasbro @ Target last night. It can be controlled via an Android/iOS app over a Bluetooth connection (requires 4 Eneloops which are not included). Target is having 20% off toys atm (thanks Trent86) and this stacks with 10% off on eBay using CAUZ10 to bring the price down to under $100. Great deal considering it's meant to be $99USD RRP from Walmart even though it's listed for $136.99USD. It's $129.95 delivered @ Premium Collectibles, $149.99 @ Toys R Us & $178 @ Zing.

Unfortunately it's considerably bigger than Sphero's BB-8. Although if it was in the same scale then R2-D2 would be quite small as BB-8 is already tiny.

      Sorry can't convert. On mobile atm. But yeah about 25cm tall. He towers over BB-8 (check the pic).

    You've linked the wrong R2D2 in the reviews etc. This one is new is a lot smaller than the only plastic one and is controlled by smart phone.
