97% OFF - Planetary Annihilation [Steam] $1.00 USD/$1.34 AUD (Save $USD 28.99) - Bundle Stars

Greetings,

Simple enough, A Steam key for Planetary Annihilation is 97% off at Bundle Stars which totals to $1 USD (Approx $1.34 AUD)

This is a spiritual remake of the old classic RTS Total Annihilation, it did not have a very successful development period but it has turned out to be a decent enough game for those interested in very large scale strategy warfare… and also strapping rockets onto a moon and sending it through space, blowing up other planets :)

Another option (Thanks to Spriggan43) Is the Standalone Expansion TITANS at 80% off for Approx $10.80 AUD ($8.00 USD) https://www.bundlestars.com/en/game/planetary-annihilation-t…

This is my first post so I hope I did not miss anything relevant.

Cheers.

I dunno if it was the cartoonish graphics, or the close-but-not-the-same feel of Total Annihilation that made this game disappointing to me.

I used to be freaking obsessed with Total Annihilation, I also played a lot of Supreme Commander 1 & 2 (didn't mind 2 despite all the whinging).

There was something amazing about the maps and fog and if you unlocked the unit limit…having up to 1000 units for a battle. I think it was something to do with the technological/graphical/UI arms race in the early days of RTS games. People got used to queuing units from C&C. They got used to UI improvements with Dark Reign. But TA just dumped SO MUCH fresh content at once and leap ahead of the competition with crazy ideas.

*Want to stack 10 building units on a giant warship and dominate the seas? CAN DO

*Use your commander for a suicide run with the gauss gun into the enemy base? GET IT DONE

*Find a secluded island a build a Vulcan cannon near an enemy base praying they don't discover you? WHY NOT!

*Entire army of 2nd tier bombers with the little lasers on their booty? HEH BOOTY

Also the intro video was awesome
