Seems Amazon has a deal going on the Xperia XZ, which is a 5.2 inch smartphone.
Not sure if there are ramifications of importing a phone from the US (bandwidth etc)? Perhaps someone in the technical know can advise. It could be LTE, which might mean you need to be on Vodafone to get full use out of it.
JB Hifi has the Xperia XZ for $999: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/phones/Outright-Mobile-Handsets/so…
From Amazon:
LTE Bands: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 19, 20, 26, 28, 29, 32, 38, 39, 40, 41 / UMTS HSPA+: 800, 850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 / GSM GPRS/EDGE: 850, 900, 1800, 1900
From Whirlpool:
Australia is currently using these LTE bands
2100Mhz (B1) – Telstra (a handful of sites), Optus (Tasmania), Vodafone
1800Mhz (B3) – Telstra, Optus, Vodafone
850Mhz (B5) – Vodafone
2600Mhz (B7) – Telstra, Optus
900Mhz (B8) – Telstra (a handful of sites, utilises spectrum previously used by 2G)
700Mhz (B28) – Telstra, Optus
2300Mhz (B40) – Optus (Vivid wireless spectrum)
So should be 100% compatible with Australian network.
However, no warranty.
