Looking to replace my wife's Google Nexus 4 phone which is now over 3 years old and starting to play-up.
She uses it mainly for SMS, a few calls, Facebook/Messenger and as a camera.
NO music, movies, or games.
The Nexus 4 handles these ok but she would like a better camera for stills and videos (of the grandchildren):-)
What new phone would you recommend? Maximum price $500.
Thanks.
The Motorola G4 or G4 Plus would be a good condidate, but remember that it's a 5.5" phablet which is quite a big jump in size from N4. I bought one for around $330 during the Ebay sale, but it normally retails in Aussie stores for $399 ~ $350 depending on which one you get.
G4 Plus features a fingerprint reader and a better selfie camera over the normal G4, but that's it. The specs are the same.
Software wise it's all fairly stock Android so it should be a fairly easy transition to a Moto G.
