    Seems cheap for a 50

Not really. You can get 55" or even larger for less $$

I guess it's fairly cheap for a Sony branded one, however I doubt that Sony actually manufacturers it LOL

    • Its definitely made by Sony.

If youre comparing no name 55" televisions such as those from Aldi there really is no comparison.

IIama, c'mon man, knock knock. I'll walk you through this: Look at the prices of all new Sony 50" fhd tv's currently on the market. Put those prices in descending order then look at where this price sits in that list. It's below average isn't it? It's well below average. It's at or near the lowest price in that list isn't it?
Thus we can draw the following clever conclusion: It's cheap.

If you can't recognise or acknowledge when someone is making an accurate value statement you'll struggle on this site. Plenty of astute people here ready to tear you a new one.

Bought this 2 yrs ago at similar price, good pic quality for what u pay for, only thing I have to complain is slow starting up when u turn on the tv. Like when u wanna go on to the apps, it takes a couple mins

  • This or samsung UA40KU600 ($698 at JB) or the LG 43UH610T 43" ($748 JB)?
Yes I realise that I am comparing different sizes :)
