Titanfall 2 $47.99 @ Origin

350
TITAN20

Titanfall 2 is on sale at Origin for $47.99 using the code at checkout. I've read the developers are making DLC free for this game so no season pass is required. Great price for a new game.

Update: Credit to a couple of users who have found it cheaper via VPN to Origin in other countries.
Sysalem for Singapore - $37.15AU
rogr for Korea - $32AU
lime111 also posted a deal for India ~36.7$AU posted here

I'm actually gonna buy this game to support the developers on the improvements from feedback/critique they integrated into it, from reviews it seems like they fixed the majority of glaring issues from the first! And free DLC is a big thumbs up

  • Its unusual for Origin to discount such a new game.

The issues with the beta and the release around the same time as Battlefield 1 must have really hurt sales.

    • I think it's more the unfortunate release date than anything else.. BF1, CoD and Titanfall. Most people who play these games only have limited funds, so if you're going to choose a game, you'll either buy 1.. maybe 2.. and even if TF2 is a better game than CoD, I'd imagine it'd be a difficult sell to anyone who hasn't played the first one..

I loved the first one but $48USD is just too much for me.. I'll bite at $32USD..

      • It's $48 AUD. :)

        • It's ~$44AUD on the US Origin store site. I refuse to pay tax. :)

        • @Vladdo: "I'll bite at $32USD.. "

OK $44 AUD that comes out at $32 USD, did you buy it?

        • @EightImmortals: Not yet, but will do later as I have to download a vpn app.. and can't currently disconnect from my network as I have a 22gb game update downloading..

        • @Vladdo: geez that's a big update?

        • @EightImmortals: It's a map update for a flight sim.. and my current internet provider is awful.. 350kb/sec.. :(

        • @Vladdo: Best of luck then. I'm DL'ing TF2 and looking to forward to playing it. Though after 35years of gaming I've begun to put my PC time to more productive uses of late. :)

        • @EightImmortals: haha yeah, I don't play many games these days either, but between BF1 and TF2 and DCS World.. it's hard to say no..

        • @Vladdo: I might not even get to do that, stupid TF2 has stalled for some reason…..

  • can anyone who plays BF4/BF1 comment on the game in MP? faster? better?

    • In another thread a few days back someone was saying that the game hadn't really taken off and the servers were underpopulated? Not sure if true?

    • It's very fast paced.. Excellent fun.. The servers are only busy after school and weekends.. At $48 it's worth the purchase for the campaign alone :)

      • Is there a big difference between the standard version and the deluxe?

P.S. It's $45.99 over at GMG at the moment too.

GMG is US$, OP post is AU$, so OP is much cheaper

        • @Trantor:

Thanks for that, I was wondering about that but figured how the price was so close it must have been aud? Stupid Australia tax again?

        • @EightImmortals: I think it's more that EA are realising that they need to start discounting it ASAP as the playerbase is rapidly dying off. They probably didn't hit projected sales targets and you'll sell a lot more at half price than full price.

3rd party sites like GMG probably won't have the luxury of getting any wholesaler discounts..

Deluxe has some face paint for your titan.. No biggie

  • Awesome game from what I've heard, will pick it up when I'm back from overseas though. This is all EA's fault, anyone with half a brain could see from months and months away that this exact situation was going to play out. Looks like EA going to try and forcefully buy Respawn or something.

  • Thanks OP

  • damn it i think they've closed out on proxy users. can't seem to get singapore price via proxy

    • Nope, I did it just then, came to $37.15 AUD :)

      • i keep getting an error when i click on buy now. what steps did you take?

        • +2

Strange. I did my usual which is as follows:
          1. Sign into Origin.com.
          2. Open up Google.com.
          3. Activate whatever VPN location I want (for this it first was Mexico, then after checking price, changed to Singapore).
          4. Refresh Google.com to make sure it auto redirected to Google.com.sg.
          5. Search Origin Store, then go to link.
          6. Make sure URL is Origin.com/sgp/en-us.
          7. Navigate to wanted game and click Buy Now.
          8. Because I am already signed in, it skips that step and goes right to Order Review where I scroll down and throw in the Promo Code
          9. Proceed with PayPal (clicking Buy Now or Pay Now or whatever the button was).
          10. Popup pops up saying about going to third party payment gateway thingy, I click the continue? button.
          11. When the PayPal login page loads up, I turn the VPN service off (I actually do this while this page is loading, but sometimes I'm too quick or too slow, but either way I have never had an issue).
          12. Log in to Paypal, it says the price in SGD and then the converted price in AUD, I click the Pay Now or whatever they call it button.
          13. Done. No need to reactivate the VPN or anything, it's all good. Origin gives me a window saying I am awesome or some other bit of information I already know.
          14. I open Origin program and begin my download.
          15. Profit.
          Hope that helps! :)

        • @rogr: Adding Korea to my list of countries to check prices for now. Thanks for that!

        • Damnit… I bought it from the indian store for $36.74… could've saved myself $4!!!

The physical copy is literally just a box with an origin code inside :(

Singapore works perfectly. Price with discount - $37.28 SGD paid with PayPal, comes to $37.15 AUD

    • Thats an even better price! If you use Origin does that mean you would need to be logged into Singapore Origin via VPN to play it?

      • Nope, at least never before have I. After purchase, it gets added to my account, I download, then play like normal, no VPN or any other wishywashy business. I did it for the Sims 4 the other month along with Mirror's Edge Catalyst.

        • awesome I'll keep an eye out for BF1 Premium deals in Singapore :)

    • +1

Just bought with VPN to Singapore, cheers!

how do you get the code to apply - i can enter titan20 but the discount doesnt activate?

    • Scroll down. The fact that the window is scroll-able is hidden, so just scroll that mouse wheel and the button to enter the promo code should be there directly underneath :)

  • Need credit card for Korea one, used paypal directly in Singapore , thanks OP

  • Expired now?

    • Unsure will test when I finish work and expire the deal if that is the case.
