Region B buyers beware - The earlier few seasons are region locked 'A', whilst latter are region-free.

    • Thanks for the heads up

  • Picked up JB's tin edition for like $60 last year, else I'd be tempted.

    Wut duh fookin feck?

  • Out of interest, are there such things as region free Blu-Ray players?

Region free DVD players became the norm after a while, but when Blu Ray was launched they said they wouldn't allow it.

    • Yes. You just swap regions though, so not really region free, but kinda.

      • last time i did that, there was a limit of 5 times. maybe that doesn't exist anymore, but that memory stays with me forever.

    • I have bought one from these guys off their ebay store - They are an Australian seller so the C10AUS code should work. As mentioned, they can play all regions but will require you to select the region before loading the disk.

Otherwise the Laser BD3000 also appears to have region change capabilities.

  • Isn't it cheaper to just get a subscription to Netflix or something to watch them instead. This seems expensive.

    • If you are buying these special editions you aren't really buying just to watch but to collect. The complete "no frills" version can be had for much less.

      • Correct. I bought one of these when they first came out. I haven't opened it and I don't plan to.

Just one of those weird things that weird people like me do.

  • If anyone bites I'd be interested in the UV digital code
