Yeah i had a look at your link and thans for that. If you actually go and click on the hat that we are selling the ash ketchum one, then thats not the correct price. The way they do it is they have a "beanie" that sells on the same listing which shows the price for the whole listing down. So up to you in buying from these kind of businesses overseas or honest small family aussie businesses.
Having said that, as any aussie knows, it costs at least $7 to send a 500g satchel anywhere in Australia and the sellers you are referring to on ebay are all China based and get free postage for any parcel under 2Kg. So comparing an honest aussie seller that gets your package delivered to your house in a few days to a chinese seller where youre not only contributing to dodgy sellers but also buying something that you might or not get in at least 30 days then i dont know if that is correct. Let's not even get started on the quality of a $5 trucker hat :) not sure how that is even possible.
Anyways im actually glad you mentioned this as it is anyone's choice in the end on what to buy for a few extra $.
So yes i still think that sending a $7 postage hat premium quality trucker style to anyone in australia within a few days is definitely a bargain :)

I realise you can't compete with overseas shipping and I feel for local businesses but I also saw your ad in ebay and it is cheaper there than what you are offering us Ozbargainers. Real nice of you.
This is OzBargain. The priority here is bargains. Like it or not, people are willing to buy things at the cheapest price, no matter where it comes from. Plenty of international deals are posted all the time. I don't think OzBargain is your ideal target audience. This isn't an advertising website.
Hi Michelle, good job on generalising Chinese based sellers as being dodgy, it's that high horse attitude that will drive more customers to shop at their stores instead for a fraction of the cost. Another generalisation you made was that their product quality isn't as good. So where are your hats made, China? Maybe flog this "deal" elsewhere :)
LOL, I'd be interested in seeing a confirmation about the licensing of Nintendo's copyright on these hats, otherwise this hardly makes your product any different from those 'dodgy' Chinese sellers of which you like to generalise here….

Maybe you should quote the actual delivery times.
The listings that everyone is posting are for items that will take a month to arrive, if they arrive. (Negative vote me if you will, but I have bought enough items from China/Hong Kong both on ebay and Aliexpress to accept this fact)
So if you are happy to pay $9 for a cap that you can get in 2-3 days as opposed to 30 days, then a $4 premium seems ok (the cheapest price I saw on ebay with shipping is $5.16).
The item I found on Aliexpress is up to 47 days postage, albeit for under $3 AUD.
