Errr… you imagine wrong. It is not possible to fold the optics enough to get a 20 times optical zoom into any normal thickness mobile phone and retain a decent sized lens to provide decent image quality.
This is not a technology limitation that might be overcome "next year", but due to a challenge that is referred to as "the laws of physics".

I didn't find it in the slightest bit interesting. I cannot even read it.
It means nothing, it's like 4 years old page with some waffle about high resolution sensors (that already exist).
The bottom line is that there is no phone that can even come close to what the camera in this deal can do.

For cheap point and shoot I guess smartphone is just as good if not better. But I think I will grab an Olympus EM10 from the Good Guys deal, big improvement over smartphone.

Most phones doesn't have optical zoom, let alone 20 TIMES optical zoom.
If you consider a phone camera to be a great camera you probably don't deserve better anyways

Have this camera, I don't like it. It's only good for taking daylight photos of static objects but attempting anything else is a pointless exercise.
If it's in as new condition, I'd be more than happy to buy it from you for the price listed above. :)
