I have very strong opinions about the US election, but I will refrain from expressing them here. The moderators would do well to remove this discussion topic from the site. I think asking people advice on a range of topics, most often about what products to buy or sometimes real life situations, is a good thing. You're confusing Federal and State/City. The latter recruits their Police, and favour veterans because there's less training needed for all their new "toys".
