I just tried at HN Taylors Lakes, the guy wouldn't even hear me out. No price matches on consoles…. everyone knows that! Yeah coz I buy them everyday. He said, we only have our own deals, I got him to show me and I'm like ok… can you do any better on them? No was his reply.
So give HN Taylors Lakes a wide berth if you were thinking price matching there.

I went down to HN Coburg after work and they said they had no stock of the 1TB console referred to it as "discontinued" and not many stores will have stock.
They did have one in the back but it was "faulty".
As for the Xbox One S 500gb they did mention they had it in stock but only at the price of $398.
Yeah I went in to HN in Preston first, they didn't have any of the original Xbox One left (all gone to make room for the One S). Said that Coburg still had stock so I went there instead. The guy at Coburg did say they only had the one Xbox One left when I went in.
The 500 gb One S at $398 was cheaper than the 1 tb One at $499, which is why I assume they offered me that instead - less of a loss for them overall when doing the price match?
I got the $300 500gb deal with the choice of game, Lego, and Minecraft back in June from them, this is more or less the best deal since then, but with being able to throw in any USB drive, I'm not really fussed about storage.
Anyway, I came on here to ask, even though I could Google it, and even though I think I know my answer already, but, can you subscribe to EA Access without Xbox Gold? I refuse to pay to play online, and a friend leaves her PS+ on my PS4 so since that's already there, I wouldn't bother with Gold outside of the odd trial here and there to get a sweet BC 360 download.
EA Access keeps getting better and better and since I buy most of my games on PS4, it would be a cost effective way to replay / try out some new games on Xbox, without spending a bunch of money on each. Like, I don't buy that many EA games, but the missus got Battlefront the other day for 24 (I still play the FAR superior original ones), and Mirror's Edge 2 would be cool to play, so there's a fair few things I'd try out on there.

Yes. It's only needed to play online.

I remember when I got the thing trying to buy a pass for it, and it kept telling me to get Gold. Then I was like "Well, I have Peggle, Rivals, Battlefield, Mirror's Edge, and so on on PS4 so maybe later"

Went to get this deal from my nearest Big W store, they didn't have stock yet so they substituted the Xbox one 1tb with a Xbox one S 1tb, doom and fallout 4, for $299 instead. Think I got a pretty good deal.

I Just picked mine up today.
They had sold out of the bundle and were happy to substitute it for the Xbox one S 1Tb and also through in an extra Game card.
I was really happy with the level of service.

All i did when i went in was ask if they had any of the Xbox one bundles left.
When they said they sold their last one i said that one of their other stores was substituting the S model.
She checked with management and management said they would do it.

Ok, I ended up going to Big W bankstown which had 2 bundles left in stock. They give you the console with the controller that has a 3.5mm jack, and both of the games come separate, one is a download card, other is a disc.
I have a fallout 4 if anyone is keen unused
Also interested in buying a game card if anyone doesn't want it as i would like tomb raider "I already have fallout on the PS4"

Just got this price matched at HN in Coburg.
They didn't have any physical games at the store I went to, so they initially offered me the console + game download code as per Big W offer, plus a game download for one of the Assassin's Creed games (in place of physical Doom/Fallout).
I was about to buy it, but then they offered me the Xbox One S 500 gb Minecraft Edition with the same Big W game download code instead. Used the $100 Amex cashback. Not a bad haul for $200
