I used to use hstouch and converted some time ago and think it's the bees proverbials.
Might check it out for a few hours as a trial! Unfortunately, the HomeSeer plugin for ImperiHome is $40USD! Makes the decision a lot harder.
Then again, what's my time worth? Sheesh.. tough one!
I was using HS with an XM10 bridge and an Ocelot. It all worked but HS was a pain. Had it running on a Windows VM and it was reliable enough if I didn't touch it, but making changes invariable caused grief. And trying to make a 'pretty' touch interface was stupidly difficult. Ditched it and now have a Vera - controls the Z-Wave stuff as well as the legacy X10 kit using a HA125 (CM12/11).
The Vera was an improvement, but the app interface was/is pretty basic. Loaded up the trial of Imperihome and in less than a couple of minutes had something running that was better than anything I'd ever managed to do with HS. In five minutes I'd spent the coffee money and bought the 'pro' app. I now have Imperihome (on a few cheap tablets stuck to the walls with 3M velcro) talk to the Vera to control the Z-Wave and X10 stuff plus display things like weather info and https://www.mysensors.org/ sensor status such fridge/freezer temperature. Works like a charm.
Nice setup, haven't looked into the DIY stuff too much yet but definitely interested.

That Zipa tile looks amazing, have you had any hands on time with it? I've been developing a HSTouch layout that resembles it but still needs a ton of work.
