    • It is a bargain if you have a multi region DVD player.

    • Unfortunately, it's not a bargain if you play your DVDs through your PS3 (which still respects region coding).

Otherwise, I'd see this as a decent bargain (if the film itself wasn't rubbish, that is).

unfortunately, this is a dvd, not a ps3 game ( as its a film, most people wont play it through a console )

        • Yes. That's what he said "it’s not a bargain if you play your DVDs through your PS3 (which still respects region coding)".

          You repeated what he said.

My PS3 is a DVD player - why would I need another? The PS3 must be the only DVD player in Australia that respects region coding. I refuse to give in to that bullheadedness.

I've paid for my DVDs and can't watch some of them because they're R2 or R1. That's not right.

@blitz: pay full price then, you answered your own question though

            • +1

@infernal_max: Oh you plonker, it's not related to how much you pay, it's related to the origin of the DVD. I paid beyond the odds for my Godfather box set and now it's useless because I can't play it. I've done everything right. Why should I buy another DVD player? I don't have to buy another car to use certain roads. I don't need to buy another knife and fork to eat certain foods. I don't need to buy another monitor to view certain websites. It's obscene profiteering, and you seem happy with it.

              • -2

@blitz: if you bought a new dvd player, the godfather box set wouldnt be useless would it? You are clearly a minority using just your ps3 as a media device player, so quit sooking, your whole point is just rubbish

      multi region ftw!!!

Almost all DVD players now play discs from all regions. They either come preconfigured out of the box, or instructions can be found on the Internet on how to unlock players. Even my new Panasonic DVD player with "Region 4 only" stamped on the box plays discs from other regions without any hacks or mods.

    • if you dont like the movie fine, but who has a non console dvd player and doesnt set it to multi region??

      • Multi region is enabled on all cheap Chinese players by default, and even the more expensive brand name players (my comment above about Panasonic) come unlocked out of the box.

Multi region encoding was a problem several years ago, but really isn't an issue today for the vast majority of customers. PS3 or old DVD player doesn't work with Region 1? A new player is just $40 from a variety of shops. Close to the price of a new release DVD.

  • you couldn't pay me to have this abomination in my collection.

  • Terrible movie , wasted my bandwidth dl-ing it

    • Thanks guys for talking me out of it.

michael bays abominable directing efforts gives me seizures
      megan fox is a beep
      movie was rushed
Shia LaBeouf acts the same way in every movie
story told from the view of humans again

    • maybe, but its fall under my category of "movies i should download and collect" lol

My favorite expression of bewilderment at Revenge of the Fallen. Contains a fair bit of bad language and lots of spoilers - if you consider something as rotten as this film spoilable.

    rubbish movie

  • Love this movie. Already got 1 & 2 from Amazon China for about $10 when it first come out. Sorry, you must have Chinese credit card to order from them!

When I see a good deal with negative feedback, I always want to see what is the "Negative" reason. But where is the negative comment.

    • Right up the top, first comment — it's probably below the viewing threshold.

Check this box up the top: Show all hidden comments

      • Thanks for that. Now I get it.
Why is there an option to hide the comment? Like stabbing others at the back.

        • I don't think that's the intention. Usually, the reason for the threshold is: "if enough people vote this comment negatively, it's not worth anybody else reading". Quite often, it results in those who neg a deal being "hidden" to those who have that option unchecked, because quite often deal neg's are voted negatively into oblivion… if that makes any sense.
