The date of the initial visit needs to be less than 7 days before the date you do the survey.
The vouchers have a 7 day expiry on them form the date you receive the email voucher.
You must go back to the same McDonalds to redeem the voucher.
The vouchers usually arrive by email about a day after you do the survey.
You have to be a MyMaccas member to get the free item.
You need to include the store location where you visited but you don't need to enter any codes or receipt numbers to redeem the free items.
You can search for the store by suburb, you don't need the store number.
This list of requirements to score a freebie is just painful, almost oppressive. :(
If you read it carefully there are ways of getting around some of the requiremtents.
Man, that list is not ADHD-friendly.
Seems like too much work for something free…..
Aye. I was just thinking this. The KFC and HJ surveys are the way to go.
You'll need to connect to the free wi-fi to redeem the voucher from your phone email or turn on your own data.
Just screenshot it and don't bother connecting
Usually I load the image onto my phone email at home and show the staff without connecting to the wifi. The image stays on the screen but I have to be careful not to tilt the screen. If I tilt the screen the image attempts to redraw/reposition and loses the picture of the free food. Some staff ask you to click on the screen and redeem the freebie but most just look at the image and put it through as a promo item.
The better deal is filling out the survey at myhjexperience.com after you buy something from Hungry Jacks & get a code at the bottom of the receipt with the website details. Once you fill out the 4 minute survey online you get a BBQ Cheeseburger (which is pretty tasty). Then check if extras are free like at my HJs- ask for lettuce, beetroot & tomato. That is a pretty sweet free lunch.
Also, you don't have to 'fill out' the survey. Just double click or triple click the next button and repeat until you get to the end of the survey.
To be fair, HJs never give you a receipt even if their printer is working, which it isn't.
True, I always make sure I ask for my receipt.
KFC surveys is better….
Best to redeem with free water
As said by previous poster KFC survey is better. I used to go to McD's all the time but since the surveys KFC has been my go to (a drink and chips does matter IMO) must have spent a few thousand on Zinger meals over the last couple of years because of the surveys. This offer of free small fries with so many added conditions is laughable.
It would change my mind is it was the free $1 frozen coke and small fries and didn't have conditions that you have to go to a certain selected store and wait a day (how much pre-planning needs to be done to get a small fries?).
Maybe introduce a minimum spend of $5 - $5.50 to protect integrity of the promo (and put a survey codes on the receipts) but I can't see people like myself being convinced to go back to the golden arches because of this comparatively pitiful offer.
KFC is the way.
Get your receipt, write down any random 5 digit number (unless you get unlucky, like at Box Hill, where they actually do the codes), ask for an upsize chips instead, grab the Double Crunch burger, and BYO a drink, 5 buck large combo. Boom. Perfect cheapskate lunch.
Either that or abuse Red Royalty, my free "birthday" quarter chicken and chips the other day was pretty sweet.
Soft serve cone is now 60c !!
dammit! they were the only things I bought from them
Are they still 50 at HJs?
(Creamier at HJs)Pretty sure, had one a couple of days ago
Really!? How is this not front page news?!
It was a big deal when it went back to 50 cents from 30 two years ago.
i notice they don't even ask for a code or proof of purchase anymore so someone could get freebies if they were dishonest ;) however the process of filling out feedback is so convoluted its hardly worth the effort. If you sign in thru MyMaccas first then it still asks you to sign in again once you finish the feedback part, annoying!
another observation, i just filled out the survey & they don't offer the chicken bites anymore, only choice between soft serve cone & small fries, damn i liked the bites!
This has always been a deal but since the old one expired automatically then it's fine.
