Contiki 24hr Click Frenzy | 10% off Asia Trips (+ 10% off Early Bird)

50
PPCLKFRENZY

Received an email from Contiki advertising 20% off their Asia trips with promo code PPCLKFRENZY.
The 20% off is 10% from the voucher and 10% by paying by the early payment date (around 6 months prior to departure. Differs for each trip)

Book today (18 October) for travel before 31 December 2017.
Doesn't stack with "Last minute deal" trips.

An example is the Vietnam Experience 12 day trip. Book for travel after April 2017 and save $168 with the early payment (by 22 Nov) and save another $168 with the click frenzy discount code. Bringing the $2245 trip down to $1908.

Note: A $200 deposit per person per trip is required 7 days from booking.
Note II: I've never travelled with Contiki but have done similar tours and when you run into the Contiki groups - things get wild.

This is part of Click Frenzy deals for 2016

    Contiki 24hr Click Frenzy

    Ahh… the good 'ol days…

    • Enjoyed yourself on Contiki?

      • I think I did… It's all a bit of a haze…

  • Don't forget to factor in the madatory tips to tour guides and driver…

    • +4

      U madatory bro?

      • +1

        no, just a bit annoyed…

Went on two Contikis years ago, the tips were not mandatory.

      • I've been on two as well, and they pretty much were mandatory…

One in Europe and one in the USA…

        • Same, one Euro and one USA. Both times the tour guides told us it was completely up to us how much to tip them.

        • @Chickenleg:

it was completely up to us how much to tip them.

yep… I never said it was a 'fixed' amount. They told us what was 'recommended'…

Maybe the practice has changed in recent years…

    • I did a South America Contiki this year. We only had to tip the tour guide (who was awesome btw) and they suggested $3 USD per day.

You had to put the money in an unmarked envelope however so technically you could tip however much you wanted, or nothing.

  • Do yourself a favour and don't do contiki through Asia.

Go with another company like g adventures (https://www.gadventures.com.au/destinations/asia/).

I have done travelled with both componies in Asia and found the g adventures to be one much better

    • in what way are they better?

      • Value e.g cost, better experiences - local guides

        • -2

can you give a couple of specific examples of how they are better, since you've done both tours.

          @jv:
Well going through cambodia with g adventures provided more local experiences that were included in the tour. We had local guides everywhere we went which gave us deeper knowledge and cultural experiences.

Going trhough Vietnam with Contiki didn't provide the same level of experience. Everything was an extra cost for starters and there were not really any local guides. It was just the main tour guide.

Overall the g adventures tour was better in my opinion and I wish i had stayed on that tour as they did Vietnam.

That's not to say that I didn't have fun on the Contiki tour, it just wasn't as good as the g adventures tour.

          thanks…

    • how about just do it yourself?
you can stay how long you want in a place.
find local guides at your destination.
      and transport is relatively simple.
