I got BC2 of ebay (from india) for around $30 full retail box, limited edition, delivered.
Does it work? I got the Orange Box from India a while ago and couldn't install it due to region restriction. Stupid price discrimination…
You don't need BF2 to get into the beta, only BC2 purchased brand new.
Additionally, I'm sure there will be websites giving away MoH codes so its not likekly to be the only way in
it's the early beta which is like 5 days before the real beta starts. I guess that bit is only really useful for diehard fans ^^;
Does the steam BF2 use its own servers or do you play with people who purchased retail?
Its the same game, so everyone is playing on the same servers.
AFAIK I don't know of any game on PC that has different servers for retail or digital copy. Its not like cross-console play.
BF2 has got to be the best game ever released. So much fun

BFBC2 was selling for $45AUD bucks on JBhifi not long ago. You can also get "key only" versions online for like 20-30USD.
