Paid $1300 for this exact model about a year ago. Wish I had waited :(
A year is a long time to wait. Of course prices will fall in a year.
a year ago $1300 was a good price
these have come down alot Its a good deal - + good warranty
great TVs with good clear image.
The only issue is the built in set top box tends to drop out the sound for a few seconds once in a while. But call JB for warranty and they will send someone out to fix it.
yeah, a friend told me amongst all china nonbrand, this brand is one of the best./. is tis true?
This is not a nobrand. It is a very famous brand in China. They make almost everything from fridge, washing machine, led TV to computer. A big company in Qingdao China.
Is Hisense disrespectful to dirt? No wait, that's Japan
I remember i bought a 42" hisense….was really dissapointed with it, maybe they have changed now?
VERY good price! 6 months ago, I paid around that amount for a 32" Hisense LCD.
I dont know how good of a deal it is.
In Myer the other day they had a 42" brand name TV (I forget the brand, it was Samsung or Panasonic) for $950
On TV the good guys were advertising a 42" Panasonic for around $780.
just top up another $100 and you can get a Sammy or a Pana…way better than HiSense.
or if price is the motivation to buy, try the Sanyo at BigW for $100 cheaper:

or in the same catalogue you can get a real no name brand for $698
Post a link for a sammy or pana for the same price , full HD
loads of receipts on DTV Forums. To give you an idea, 50" Full HD Sammy Plasma available for <$1200. http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/27159
Have a link to these receipts?
I saw a 46" or 47" version of one of these in JB HIFI and thought it looked better than the Sony next door.
Mind you, this particular JB HIFI shop makes absolutely no effort to adjust any of their display sets, so maybe it was just luck out-of-box.
Anyone tried a Hisense LED LCD?
Actually they adjust their sets according to the TVs they want to sell. "We want to sell these Pana units so put them next to a badly adjusted Sony and people will take one look at the picture and take the Pana!"
It's like car stereo stores putting music through an amp to sell you the head unit or speakers they want you to have.. always ask whether the music you're hearing is just from the head unit etc
I'm sure that's generally true, but at this particular JB HIFI nothing seems to be set up.
All the plasmas and most of the LCDs look like shite & the only good looking set is the 3D LED Sammie showing the ubiquitous Monsters v Aliens off it's own Blue-Ray feed.
This seems like a really good price.
