Why would you need software updates for a Bluetooth/Wi-Fi speaker?
I own several of the Samsung wireless speakers, both from this range and the older range. Whilst the older ones can be a little temperamental, I haven't had any issues with the new ones. Yes, they need regular firmware updates, but that can happen automatically. The updated app is also an improvement over the previous version. I would be buying a few of these myself, except that my other half believes I already have too many speakers (like there is such a thing as too many).
Do not bother Samsung wireless speakers. Go to local JB try the Samsung and Bose, you will find the difference.
I wouldnt say Bose is any better than samsung to be honest.
If you after the best with true HIFI quality streaming look at Bluesound. Its better than Sonos in terms of sound and similar in features. Twice the cost
Save yourself the headache and buy a Sonos or bluesound
Speakers like these need future software updates to keep the relevant. Going by my own experience with a Samsung Note 2. This is unlikely to happen
