  Any deals from Groupon remind me of the Masters clearance sale. For the most part it is just overpriced junk.

  The 10% off doesn't make the junk any more appealing.

  These sites were good before they became mainstream. Remember the days of Catch Of the Day / Scoopon / Groupon when they actually had good things on them and were 'real' deals. Also, the companies (such as Restaurants) had awesome deals to for food. These days, I find a lot of places advertising are places that should have gone broke a long time ago, and are only open as a result of the odd sucker buying a coupon for some poor service/food/product.

  I didn't realise groupon do the old trick where they markup prices when they have discounts, ala dick smith eBay store. Yesterday core24 4 week pass was 29 bucks. Today its back to 15.
