Great price. Cheapest Ive seen so far was $419 at pccg.

  • Sorry for my ignorance, but this is the Nvidia equivalent of what?

I am currently using a GTX 750 Ti, how much is this better (say in %)?

Also power consumption is crucial as I don't want to upgrade my PSU. Thanks.

      Really good reviews here: http://bfy.tw/80pr

GTX 1060 would be the closest from nvidia's latest gpus

    • the gpu hierarchy at toms hardware has always been a go-to for me:

      • That chart has to be incorrect. The RX 480 > GTX 1060 in DX12 games. This will be more apparent going forward…

from what i understand its going off the average performance of a collection of games and as you know, theres only a small number of dx12/vulkan games out.

the hierarchy may change over time but for now the 1060 is the "winner":

looking at this chart - the advantage the 1060 has over the 480 in dx11 games outweighs the dx12 games on the 480.

    • You'll be ok with a 450w PSU. These new cards use a lot less power.

    Not too shabby… am after a RX 480 but 4GB not 8GB :(

4GB is barely enough for 1920x1080 now.

As someone who games in 1080p with a 3GB gfx card comfortably now i totally disagree with that. Reviews everywhere demonstrate there is few (as in 2-5) fps difference between the 4GB and 8GB even with most of the latest games at HD res.

        • GTA V, a game from 2013, at 1920x1080 using maxiumum settings uses 3.9 GB.

          As I said, barely enough.

        • The FPS difference isn't the main issue here IMO, it's the worse frame timings as a result of the lack of ram which manifests as stuttering. But it's only a problem in few games where you're blindly turning up the settings to max (if you want to blindly max out everything i think you should be looking at the 1070/1080 anyway).

Here's a nice test of the ram hungry games, but you're going to need google translate

        • Alright you sods i pulled the trigger. Will report back in 2 years if it comes to fruition…. :D

    • Isn't this only about $30 more than a 4GB Reference Card?

      • The difference is usually $50 USD between the 2 so enough for it to matter in terms of getting little for the extra $. Here the price differece seems to fluctuate depending on the sellers and deals.

  • trigger pulled :D

  • Do you happen to know what courier they use for their standard delivery?
