It should say "Up to $600", not just $600. If each of your trades is less than $10,000, the most you will save is $239.40.
Yeah, their false advertising annoys me. It's really "Get up to 12 trades free."
It's only if you spent a certain amount that the credit would be worth as much as is advertised which is the absolute maximum - and pretty unlikely that anyone would make 12 trades for exactly that amount.
12 trades is still a reasonable offer (if done within their expiry period), but without the deceptive reference to $600.

Before you buy any shares, make sure with ComSec whether you have the free brokeage.
Coz I followed the instruction, and signed up. I called them before I wanted to buy, but they said i was not eligibale because i didn't choose to open the cash account etc…
after at least 5 calls, the problem is finally fixed.
but just be careful, i had many bad experience with banks….

@Tartar - it states very clearly you must open the cash account in order to be eligible for the free brokerage.
You only get the $600 if you use them within a limited amount of time.
