A good selection this Month, Transformers Devastation worth a sub and amazing for old school Transformer fans

    • is that the cartoon transformers?

  • Beat me to it by 7 minutes.

    • Are "games with girls in them" the only genre that causes you to have feelings so intense that they make you ill? It may be a sign of an autist.

      • +1

What he means is harems where you play as a girl who sleeps around with a bunch of men. He means games targeted at the female gamer (popular in Japan, not very popular in the west), not a game that simply has girls in it or a female protagonist.

As a man, I can understand why that doesn't sound very appealing.

To say it's making him sick is a bit hyperbolic granted.

There are other VNs on Vita they could hand out. Hopefully some day they will give Steins;gate.

      • Great that you're making such bold assumptions with such limited information. It may be the sign of an idiot.

Obviously I don't get literally sick from Otome games, rather I'm getting sick in a figurative sense. eg: I'm tired of receiving them instead of better games on the Vita.

        • This is only the second one.

If it wasn't this you would have got either another PSP game, or a pixel art indie.

They only gave you something good on Vita maybe twice a year.

        • @lostn: I know you're right, lostn. I've been subscribed to PS Plus ever since the IGC came to the Vita and have been pretty disappointed in the game selection for the past year. There's no doubt that these games are a better offering than the PSP games but for me it's just another two months on top of others without any interesting Vita offerings for me. As someone who only plays on a Vita, I can be critical of what they offer.

        • @Michael15286: Which games are you hoping to get?

        • +1

@mrdavedave: I would like Tearaway for starters, the game is about 2 years old and demonstrates the Vita's capabilities quite well. An action focused title like Assassins Creed: Liberation or Call of Duty: Declassified wouldn't go missed either. For story driven offerings, VN's like Dangan Ronpa and Steins;Gate would be nice, or one of the many available JRPG's like Trails of Cold Steel or Persona 4 Golden would entertain for dozens of hours. And don't forget some funky rhythm games to mix it up a little, like Project Diva or DJ Max Technica tune.

There's such a wide, vast and interesting Vita library and Sony chooses to push the crap out first to the millions of people with PS Plus. Then surprise, people say the Vita has no games. Instead they should be showcasing some of the awesome games in the lineup, to encourage people to try out the Vita and to keep the people who support the Vita and pay for PS Plus entertained.

@Michael15286: It's a shame that Sony isn't really supporting the Vita. It's probably my favourite platform to play games on with it's portability and beautiful OLED display…Just a great system.

@mrdavedave: I 100% agree with you. It came out in the time of a booming mobile gaming scene. Had Sony played their cards right, it would have been in every kids hand by now. There's definitely a market for it, look at all the kids gaming on tablets/phones/3DS's. Even now as the mobile gaming market has stabilized and established itself, there's still a spot for quality mobile games. And now that powerful components are cheaper to produce (look at all the $300 phones with 1080p displays, quad cores and powerful GPU's), I don't understand why Sony hasn't redesigned the Vita and entered the foray again.

I love my Vita, just not how Sony has handled it.

        • +1

@Michael15286: I think they focused their resources on PS4. They saw the Vita as a failure, so to keep trying to build it up would be throwing good money after bad. It's hard to even find a Vita to purchase anywhere now. I asked EB, and they told me no one has any in stock.

It does have great games on it, but they don't have wide enough appeal to be successful.

I'd like them to give as freebies:

          • Steins;gate
          • Danganronpa 1
          • LBP
          • Tearaway
          • Ys
          • Tales of Hearts R
          • Lost Dimension
          • P4 Golden
          • P4 DAN

I know PS+ lineup always gets posted every month but I was wondering how is it a bargain? There's no discount…just the regular price

    • What's the current RRP of Resident Evil on Ps4 on the PS Store?

      • +1

        Resident Evil RRP: $29.95

        Transformers Devastation RRP: $49.95

        • How much are we paying for these games now?

    • +2

The Xbox Live Gold games also get posted, as do EA Access games… all of which require memberships.
Whilst they aren't "freebies" they do represent time-limited value to members. I would estimate that at least 40% of PS, Xbox owners have membership.

    • trolling? free isn't the regular price lol

  • So, what's best place to get a 12 month membership? Amazon?

5.75% off WW giftcards, using said giftcard to buy jb or eb giftcard to then buy a PSN card.

I'm unaware of any other promotions that we c an stack… I know I used a $10 credit when you send more than 30 in WW from AMEX for mine.

      • Couldn't you just buy the PSN cards directly from WW, with their discount giftcards?

        • +1

They didn't have the PSN cards in my local so I had to do it the round about way.

      • Excellent, thanks!

      • Other alternative is to use this deal

Based on the stores that accept android pay transactions, buy a giftcard for EB, JB or PSN from Woolies and use android pay and AMEX for the deal… make sure it is $20 and more for the giftcard. Can't remember what the smallest amount is for those giftcards but make up the difference using the 5.75% off WW giftcard for a further discount.

    • you can always do surveys on ninerewards. Redeem them for gift cards at jb hi fi then buy psn cards.

      • That's what I do, recently cashed out $500 of JB vouchers and still have a few hundred left in rewards account.

        • You must have done an insane amount of surveys

        • +1

@mrdavedave: I have 2 email accounts setup and had them running for about 5 years. I'd only cashed out about $150 previously so it's been building up nicely. Good way to pass the time when commuting to work on public transport. Occasionally you get big ones like rate music for an hour and we'll give you $60.

  • Not a bad selection this month. I know from dust didn't really meet everyone's expectations, but I loved it. Will definitely be playing through it again.

  • i thought watchdog will be included. a bit disappointed. anyway it's free so can't really complain. oh not really free because you need to have PSN.

  • Loving all the Otame games for the Vita. Sony has finally figured out what the audience is, LOL.

  • which version of Resident Evil is this? is it the 2002 gamecube one? or is it a 2nd remake?

    • another remake released in 2015 if i remember correctly

    • It's an HD remaster of the 2002 remake.

  • WOW! I was just about to buy this Transformers game on eBay second hand for $20. Have been waiting for it to come down in price, but "FREE" is even better. Definitely worth it just for the nostalgia alone. Plus RE too. A very good month for PS+.

  • Nice! - i have been meaning to buy the RE remake

  • +1

Not a bad month. I like that PS Vita is finally getting the visual novels. Unfortunately, it's two Otomes in a row.
