  • Curious to know, what do they mean by "As New"? Demo stock, box damaged, no box or returns?

    • +1

      Return that's unopened.

  • edit: never mind. I need to learn to read instructions. "To order, Chat Online, and have the "Bundle Reference" number ready to quote when you speak to a sales representative."

    • Uses the live chat, be with the bundle # at hand.

"As New" is actually brand new

  • Could somebody please explain where this model fits within the Dell model heirachy?

I don't have a handle on it, and the "Ultrasharp" seems to apply to a number of models now days. Is this bottom of the range, or what?

    • U series is their higher end series, these should have very good PQ.

      From memory, it goes…. E, S, P, U

      • You forget the UP (UltraSharp PremierColor) series. 😉

    Cheapest ever?

  • Guessing this isn't the best for movies/gaming (non hardcore gamer here)

    • These are great business monitors and mine does fine for gaming. For the price you arent going to get much better. Yes response time and lag isnt as good as other TN panels, however, for a casual gamer like myself these are good.

    • These have very low input lag for an IPS panel, still good for gaming:

  • Not bad, but saving my cash for a high hz gsync monitor

  • Do Dell still have the 1920x1200 Ultra sharp 24"?
This monitor is fine for casual gaming, I have a 2 year old Ultra sharp, it's fantastic for business and/or graphics/photo editing.

  • Anyone know if dead pixel and light break policy is different from outlet?

  • Can anyone with this model confirm if it supports 1:1 scaling?

Hey I just realized their 4K 24" monitor has dropped to $799 standard price now.

I remember this thing costing double that a year ago. Unless it was a different model.

    • Yours, P2415Q, is "P" model - I believe it was always this price or approximately this price.
Given that it is only 24", you'll be doing 2x scaling, so, only end up with 1920x1080 logical resolution (ie. window chrome and other non-vector graphics). Fonts and vector graphics are of course rendered at native resolution regardless of scaling.

      • Wait what.. it's a native 4K monitor. Why do you have to do scaling? You mean because the desktop looks small and you don't want to squint?

I'm talking about for practical applications like 4K gaming or 4K video.

        • You mean because the desktop looks small and you don't want to squint?

Yes, but it's not a coincidence that pixels are small - you want them to be as small as possible, almost imperceptible in order to provide quality rendering.
On the desktop, it's about quality (of rendering) versus quantity (ie. desktop realestate).

    • The link you pointed to is U2412M, which is not a 4K monitor. Hence, different price.

The previous 4K 24" model you refer to is UP2414Q.

      EDIT:

lostn change the link to P2415Q now.

        I didn't change anything.

The M was a different link in a separate post.

        • Sorry, I mistaken the link you post on other comment above.

  • Cheers, picked on up.

    • How do you give the credit to Dell? I received booked email but a bit worry about sending CC in Email.

      • I bought it in the live chat thingy, it integrates the payment process into the chat.

  • Thanks mate I got 2! Woot!

  • All gone? I see none on my screen via that link.

  • 23.8 Inches (31.5-inch wide viewable image size)

Reminds me of a friend of mine('s time travel vehicle.)

  • Damn! Got one for $229 a few weeks back

  • These really are beautiful monitors. Bought 3 from Dell outlet about a year ago. If you search u2414h overclock you'll find instructions to push the hz. Im on 74hz with custom timings, little better than the stock 60
