Just bought $100… Oh well, $0.75 difference.

(By just, I mean literally seconds before your post, lol)

    • +1

Don't know why you got negged, squared it up

      • +2

I assume because I don't mind too much that I spent an extra $0.75, it's a little unozbargain xD

    • +1

I look at it this way: if you were short 75 cents for a purchase in a store, the cashier would not let you take the product. Every bit of free money counts.

      • Makes sense, though I've saved $5 I usually don't save - it's a start.

I've also got the 10% off voucher ready on my phone, so I'm quite happy right now… :P

  • +1

I was going to buy one yesterday, but I forgot. Now it's the time!

    • same, time to stock up again!

  • +5

Damn, I just bought 10k of gift cards, anything you can do for me OP?

    • +11

      $10k of gift cards!? WHAA!?

      • Public transport's expensive D:
        Opal recharge!
Also useful for filling up and selected woolworths owned caltex :D

    • +1

If i bought 10K, I definitely called Everyday Gift Cards directly to negotiate a far better deal.

      • They be like Z OFF!

    • +1

pretty sure 10k in your bank account is worth more to you than a stockpile of the cards… even getting them 5% off rather than 5.75% when you need them, while leaving the balance in your bank account.

oh my! This just seems crazy

  • Perfect… where can I invest this $5.75 profit out of my $100 investment

    • +7

Another set of eneloops, xiaomi pistons and/or powerbank

  • +10

Can highly recommend buying egift cards from the cashrewards as the whole process seems quicker than buying from anywhere else. Usually get it inboxed within couple of hours

  • +28

Stop playing game with the ozb community… just give us 10% off and we are happy :-)

  • just ran out on my last batch, perfect timing

    • Yeah. Wife and I were contemplating getting some at 5.5% and thought let's wait till we see 6%. Might just go and get $1000 worth at 5.75% in the meanwhile. Only had $300 worth left so good timing

      • Yeah I guess its not a huge saving if you are only going to buy %100 or so

  • This time I will definitely persuade my parents to buy some!

  • oh, damn it, bought 2K GCs in last 5.5%deal, and now it is 5.75%!!!

  • thanks, will add something small to the stockpile. Let's get to 6% already!! (and then 10) :)

  • Showing up as 5% discount when I checkout?

  • how long do they usually take to email the egiftcards?

    • +1

      few hours

    • +1

From the last 2 transactions (last week), about 2.5 hours.

  • +2

it was very quick last time, within the hour.

I'll buy if it's more than 6% savings!

  • +2

I know people are quite interested in these, but seriously speaking, it doesnt really persuade me as a coles/Aldi buyer to shift unless its 10%… That could very well only me though!

    • Woolies has opal top up

    • i buy it purely for Opal card top up :D

    • whatever.
I buy most of my stuff at Aldi. But occasionally go to Woolies or Coles for specials..
Also useful at BigW, and Dan Murphy's
Pitty you can't use them at Masters

      • +3

Pitty you can't use them at Masters

Yes you can. I bought a mirror yesterday with the gift card (as a printout).

        • +1

          Thanks for confirming!

    • +1

5% groceries and fuel is good enough for me
Plus the 10% for this week, who doesn't?

  • Does anyone know if these work in Tasmania? I know woollies there is the same but different in some ways?

    • +1

Yes they work for woolies, bws, and Woolworths petrol, oh and I assume big w but haven't tried

      • +1

        yep works at Big W

      • Are there are Woolworths petrol around Hobart? Sandy Bay doesn't accept e-gioft cards.

        • Hmm well I know the Kingston one does

  • +2

TA can you please make this rate permanent? Never seems to be additional when I want the cards

  • omg…just brought $1000 for the 5.5% deal. O well, let's buy another $1000 now then. Opal card is expensive, good to have extra saving specially after they cut out the free trip after 8trips.

  • +3

I love the way that Woolies and assoc., is right into the OZB spirit. It is a shame that Coles is not!

    • We've had the Woolies v Coles Bread & Milk price wars.

Now let's have the Woolies v Coles Gift Card price war!!

      • +1

Where can you get discounted Coles gift cards?

        • That's the thing… you can't. (Well, none that I'm aware of).

        • +2

AGL rewards. 5% discount (no fee if EFT payment)
          https://www.aglrewards.com.au/offer/coles-egift-card-1-coles…

        • Join Blatchy's Blues Rewards program for $5.
They do a bunch of decent digital gift card discounts.
You'll quickly make your money back and then some.
Only annoying thing is that Wesfarmers digital gift cards only work in one store.

        • @tulalit:
Finally! a reason to get an AGL card. tnx!

        • @abm77: You need to be a customer tho no?

        • @D6C1: Yes

  • +1

I used the $10 Cash by Optus to buy this…it worked! Bought a $10.60 gift card

  • +1

Cash we buy this using the cashrewards balance..?

  • Not working …????

  • +1

can't seem to add the birthday or cool chic egiftcards to the cart as you can't input a value like you can with the disco and blue steel ones. not that it matters at all ><

  • Can I use this to pay for Woolworths home insurance? Thanks

  • Anyone know the normal wait time for receiving these? I paid with my AMEX if that helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you :)

    • +1

From the last 2 transactions (last week), about 2.5 hours.

      • Thank you for your help :)

    • +1

      I have already received mine.
Ordered around 10am, paid with amex.

      • Thank you for your help :)

  • Won't let me add to cart on mobile, maybe site getting ozbargained.

    • +1

same for me on desktop - add to cart not working

      • I got the same problem with it not adding to cart via mobile site 😣😣

TA please extend offer until they fix it, please? 😆

  • Hopefully they will extend the time for an hour or two, can't buy right now.

  • +3

What's happened to the 7.5% we used to get quite often from Groupon?

  • worked just then for me

    • via mobile site or desktop?

  • +1

Worked for me on desktop. CVonC posted this a few hours ago, maybe this is this what is causing peoplesome trouble?

CVonC 2 hours 22 min ago

can't seem to add the birthday or cool chic egiftcards to the cart as you can't input a value like you can with the disco and blue steel ones. not that it matters at all ><

  • Worked for me, make sure you add the bottom 2 card designs. Someone mentioned earlier the top colours didn't work

  • got emailed an invoice almost 2 hours after purchasing… how long after that do the details of the egiftcard usually take?

    • I have a feeling it'll take longer than usual - as I've yet to receive an invoice after 2 hours.

Normally it took about 2.5 hours to receive the giftcard, but I feel there's a big backlog to clear thanks to this promo.

  • Didn't work :(

    • Missed it by 7 minutes.

      • I tried at 1:50Pm

        • Oh. :(

I'm guessing everyone was ordering at the last minute and therefore there could have been a crush?

  • sad panda. oh well. I missed out this time.

  • received my ecard just now.

    • How did it take for it to deliver?

      • 3.5 hrs

      • I think it depends on your credit/debit card issuer. I purchased some cards on the everyday rewards website at 5% off late afternoon yesterday. Still haven't received them because my bank, commonwealth haven't cleared the funds. Still shows as pendening via online banking.

        • Yeah I'm with commbank and it's sometimes taken 20 hours or so. Always comes in the end so not too fussed

Edit: first time was a bit nervy though!

        • I called them (wishcards) about processing time on a previous deal. Apparently this ranks pretty high for CC fraud and the like so the banks give it some special attention which is why it takes while to process as the banks don't let it thought straight away. If you need it now, Wishcards proclaim to call the bank to speed it up. Admittedly when I did it mine did come through shortly thereafter so I have no reason not to believe that that is the process.

        • My commbank is still showing pending .. and already received the egiftcard 2.5hours later…

        • @eecchhoo: damn, I must be unlucky. I did order more than $1,000 worth. So there might be an added layer of protection against fraud for larger amounts. Either way I'm in no hurry and should have them in the next day or so. Thanks for everyone's replies.

        • I had a Commonwealth bank cc and tried to buy wish giftcards to meet the $500 spend for the $250 cash back signup bonus. It tooks several calls to the bank to get the transaction to go through. Their security is far too tight.

      • Still waiting. Once they never delivered and took 10 days to refund. I'll be well miffed if they pull this sort of stunt again. I find having a big wad worth of money unuseable and in limbo with no product rather rude, especially for an extended period of time.

I just got some corporate rewards for 6% off. this comes close…

    • +5

Cool story bro. Thanks for sharing.

    • I also remember seeing them for 6% off the other week through my empolyers discount site. Trouble is they surcharge for most credit cards that earn points, altough you do get the cards instantly.
