Just visited South Wharf DFO to check out the Puma Store but nothing worth buying even with 40% off so went next door to the Nike store and found they had compression gear for 50% off. I bought a pair of Nike compression pants/tights? for $22.50 (50% off $45). I think its an old design because I can't find pictures of it anywhere, but they're so much cheaper compared to the Linebreak stuff that was posted here before. Should be good for the upcoming ski season. Both men's and women's were available, along with some short sleeve shirts and shorts of a different (new?) design all 50% off.

  • Good stuff considering ALDI was selling them for $20 last week, and that is their own Crane brand.

    • Agreed, was contemplating buying Aldi but didn't want to line up and rush in!

      • I bought the ALDI stuff and am quite surprised at how decent it is. Good fit & decent looking. Just shows how much things are marked up in AU.

  • men only?

    • I saw women's as well on another rack with the 50% off sign, but not sure of sizes, also some of the men's was 3/4 so not sure if the women's ones were full or 3/4.
Edit: I should clarify, I saw them on a rack on the women's side of the shop, not sure if they were women's tights though although I assume they are? lol

      • not many choices on the women's side. most sizes were either XS or XL (for nike profit tops). no in-between sizes. didn't notice any tights though. wasn't paying much attention :P

        • Thanks trunks and passerby! meaning it not worth while for me to drop by since not much of a choice! :) cheers.

  • Compression gear is so expensive here — I mean, the $60 shorts you linked to can be bought for $30 in the UK: http://www.startfitness.co.uk/product.asp?strParents=4070,40…

50% off brings the prices back in line with what the rest of the world pays. ;)

  • Can you confirm what sizes they had? I saw them on sale months ago, but they only had XL and above left. A bargain if you can get your size.

    • I got a men's medium, had to ask one of the store attendants though. I'm 6ft pretty skinny and it fits me well. On the rack they had Large full length and 3/4XL

  • +3

Please note compression gear doesn't necessarily keep you warm. The idea of of compression is to increase blood flow, and minimise injury, not to keep you warm. If you need snow thermals then there are specific thermals, being polypropelene (synthetic), and merino (wool). So there you go, thermals and compression skins are two different things.

That aside this is a good deal.
