Ta!
Been thinking of getting one (wrist injury) & this is cheap-cheap.
You can save more money by using their "drop-off" locations— which I generally prefer anyway because I always seem to miss the delivery!
:)
These are great for wrist pain, and very well made, using one right now! Great price here too!
Thanks OP. I have one i use all the time, been looking for a good price on a 2nd for a while.
I have one from a previous deal that I use at work.
It serves as a deterrent for other people wanting to use my PC.
lol it does actually :) ppl need to invest time to get used to it.
I have been using one at work for a couple of years and would not go back to a regular mouse. In fact I would be happy to pay more for a better quality trackball.
Does anyone have any experience going from this to a more traditional trackball? Any recommendations? Will be used for standard office applications.
Kensington makes a good range of office trackballs - bigger and better than the M570, but aound $80
Thanks for the suggestion. The Slimblade or the Expert should work well as a replacement.
I would highly recommend the Kensington Expert Mouse. I have one for 3 monitor display, its amazing.. I just flick and brake with my fingers. I find it more precise than my old Logitech VX Revolution regular mouse. Scroll wheel is a real bonus! Kensington now make a Bluetooth version
https://www.mwave.com.au/product/kensington-expert-mouse-wir…Comes with a Wrist rest as well.
Thanks, I will look into it. I am also considering the Slimblade.
From the reviews I've seen, looks like Slimblade may not be as good. It doesn't have a scroll ring (which is a key feature) you actually twist the ball for scrolling which is more awkward and it doesn't come with a wrist rest.
@darkage: Good point. I would like to try both before deciding. It seems they are out of fashion as none of the big B&M chains stock them.
@Poseidon: Yep its a niche product, would only expect it to be sold at a select few regular computer shops.
These trackball mice (with the ball being moved by your right thumb, not the crazy one's which have the trackball in the middle for two of your fingers to get tired) are amazing…. weird at first but after a few days of using one, you'll never be able to go back to a normal mouse again.
Thanks OP, bought 2. Crazy cheap price for these. Start from $57 in Aus:

hate to buck the trend, but I bought this after an ozbargain post maybe 2 or 3 years ago. After using it for 2 or 3 weeks, I found that it put a lot more stress on my arm. So I resorted back to the old logitech wireless mouse, my forearm rests/levers/rotates on the front edge of my desk and I have no issues at all.
Same experience here.
Felt a shooting pain up my forearm when i moved the ball.
I wonder if a trackball would predispose to De Quervain's tenosynovitis
I thought so too, isn't it more tiring to be flexing/moving just your right thumb section all day ? Is it as accurate as a normal mouse ? e.g. its a easier to be precise with the clutch on a motorbike (hand operated) rather than the car.
I've got my mouse sensitivity on high so I don't need to move my wrist much
Personally I've never had any pain associated with using this mouse (over 12 years now… I have the original Trackman Marble Wheel.. wired), and it's definitely fast and accurate (maybe more than a traditional mouse) in my opinion.
I'd hate to have to go back to a normal mouse again and flail my wrist/arm about.
I thought so too, isn't it more tiring to be flexing/moving just your right thumb section all day ?
No. Moving your thumb only engages the forearm muscles which requires less effort.
Is it as accurate as a normal mouse ?
At least as accurate and some people say more accurate for activities such as gaming.
I had a thumb trackball back in the 90's. It was a little sore on my thumb.. Full Trackball is the way to go and is more fun but not as compact.
Think I'll try the thumb trackball first as i'm unsure how I'll manage the finger gymnastics required for the centre/full trackball model.
Bought because yolo and discounts
Thanks guys@payton: Full trackball is more about finger tip precision, flicking and braking. I find it alot more comfortable and faster than a thumb trackball & regular mouse.
I use to love people at work fling this around then realise its not a mouse.
Thanks for the good deal, may I know the referral link can be used? thanks
I installed the Android app and used the referral link and had $5 taken off price reduced to $22.47
thanks
Where is the referral code?never mind found it.
Thanks for posting, my last two ended up with my wife and now my daughter. These are so convenient for all those places a regular mouse is inconvenient like the couch, bed, aeroplanes, etc. I think this is a must have for Surface Pro type devices.
Why dont they ever make left handed ones! #racist
that's what I want too! I got used to using my right hand instead and now I feel like a traitor!
flip it 180 degrees :)
Elcom make a sinister version https://www.amazon.com/ELECOM-Left-handed-Wireless-function-…
FWIW I have 2 of these in the loungeroom, one for the TV and the other for a secondary single purpose short usage time PC. They are brilliant where there is no room/desire to have a mousepad, literally the only space you need is the footprint of the trackball mouse itself.
I have used these 2 for over a year but, having said that, I still use a conventional mouse on the PC. For me the trackball just doesn't cut it for finer movements. I don't game by the way, I am just referring to normal use.
In short, for me, I strongly recommend these for specific space challenged locations. For PC usage it would be up to the physical adaptiveness of the user.
n'thing the use of this mouse. Love it.
I've had bad RSI issues for a number of years now, and since moving to a ergo keyboard setup and one of these trackpads (both at work and at home) - I very very rarely get RSI anymore, and if I do - it's never from computer work and more from something like digging in the garden. It took awhile to get results the first time around, but it's a godsend.
One other advantage of this mouse is that you can also use it for presentations - I use it all the time in place of a mouse so I can stand up and walk around in-front of a group and still operate a computer as if I had a mouse with me.
Simply the best mouse for AutoCAD. This one assists my drafting to a pro lol. Highly recommended!
I used to have one of these but while they are fine to use I never loved it.
It was a conversation started at work though if that is your thing :D
Ends in 19h36m.
Thanks, forgot to set an enddate
Thanks OP. Got it for $28AUD using the referral code and choosing an amazon pick up location.
Hi dejavu66, how to select the amazon pick up location at checkout and is the shipping free for this option? Thanks.
Will place order in USD better or AUD using the 28 degree card?
definitely USD, amazon has a ridiculous conversion rate.
Thank you so much, ordered.
cheers mate
Appreciate the post. Bought one in last Amazon Logitech sale - have loved using it at work. Now a second one for home :)
Good price! I have been using the wired track ball mouse for 10 years or so! Got this wireless track ball mouse 1 year ago and loving it!
Works just like the wired one except the 2 extra buttons next to left click. I use them for copy and paste. I use this mouse for everything, working, browsing, gaming (MOBA games and Overwatch).
Thank you. I got one.
Have got 2 of these, great mice.
$34 that was shown on my 28 degree statement.
Received it two days ago. Packaging from US version is definitely smaller compared to the ones I got from local DSE a year ago.
sold out
Rookie mistake i added to my cart and then messed around with the $5 referral code..
By the time i was done when I went to check out it said no longer available :(
If you want mine, pm me. Cheers
thanks i did
Picked up mine today from ParcelPoint, good unit, getting used to it.
Thanks OP :)
Good deal on this mouse, it took me about a week to get the hang of it but now i love it.
