Samsung 255L Top Mount Refrigerator $608 ($40 off) @ The Good Guys

50

I consider it a deal because the silver coloured one, which I was about to buy, is at $699.00:

Plus if you have a $25 gift card voucher from previous Good Guys deal, then the price drops to $654.

Masters have a 318L similar model for $636, with extra 10% it's a good deal. 255L is a very small fridge.

$605 at appliances online for the 255L
$545 with free delivery Sydney, appliance central

    • Here is the master one, good finding!

Is it acceptable on ozbargain that I change the original post to the appliance central's price?

      • Too bad the master one is out of stock now.

        • don't believe what online says. stores are stacked full off fridges at the moment

    • You would only buy a 255L fridge if you were living alone.

Have a wife and family?. Forget about this fridge.

  • Good Guys were selling the 500L Samsung fridges for less than this price in the last Boxing Day Sales.

Could be worth waiting for a better deal. Thats not such a good deal.

Just in case you didn't notice, that fridge you were going to buy for $699 is a newer model SR255MLS ($826 at Appliances Online).

The $608 deal you linked is the SR254MW model ($605 at Appliances Online). Amazingly was $398 last year via eBay sale.

    • It's ridiculous that the price of the same appliance could be A$200 (about a third) more than it's original price of 11 months ago. We get ripped off badly here in Australia.

        Not really.

  • For a bit more coin this is also a great deal

It might catch on fire or something

255L fridge is tiny - basically the next step up from a bar fridge.

OP getting excited about a $40 discount on a $600 item is quite sad.

There should be a minimum 10% discount before we consider something as a "deal".

    • Yes this is a single persons fridge for sure.

      • It's smaller than the beer fridge that I use as a single person!

I recently bought a 350 litre just to use as a bar fridge, plus it's handy for frozen pizza storage. It's definitely somewhat too large for the drinks for just me, however I gained a shelf in the pantry cupboard… I can now just store spares in the new refridgerated pantry rather than them staying warm.

This excessive sounding quantity of refreshments is because I am not the kind of person who only buys as needed. I stock up on Schweppes, Coke etc when 1/2 price, and have become used to never needing to worry about not having anything that I need. Storage is a problem however LOL

  • I have the 240L Samsung fridge which is nowover 5 years old. It's great and my power bill is tiny. Like less than $1 per person per day.

    • I heard that modern fridges (including those of 5 years ago) of moderate size are expected to use less than 1KWh per day, which should be less than $0.4 per day, which translate to about $0.2 per person per day. This is Internet research only.
