That's an awesome price for what you get - the v2 was updated to have the featureset match the Phantom 4's new stuff (obstacle avoidance).

Mind you DJI Mavic being announced tomorrow, worthwhile just waiting to see if anything else is being announced after the press release (in case of a DJI Inspire 2 or something)
The DJI Mavic itself won't have anything to do with the price of this (much less specs and different demographic), and it'd be a big surprise if they made a new DJI Inspire. Then again, that's exactly what happened with the V2 Launch.

No happy with drones today, crashed mine yesterday in to a tree and today in to a house while testing it still worked. Bad day.

Wait for Mavic - at least it can go with you (even if you cant charge it when you're 10Km from a power point)
Can't you get a 12v charger for these? And if not, 240v inverters are cheap and easy to get.
Or do you mean if you take it out on a mountain bike, hiking or similar? Then I suppose you can always just take spare batteries.

These look awesome watched a few videos on YouTube the other day from Adam Savage out of mythbusters which were interesting. Being able to have a separate camera operator is a great feature but I guess that would be more expensive than this model.
that's a really good price, perhaps definitely worth it if you plan to buy the $2099 DJI Phantom 4 at full price
