      Redeemed some not long ago. Now again.

        Six accounts!! Gee they must give you some funny looks when you pick up.
        Cant believe:
        1/ you can actually get away with it without travelling to multiple stores
        2/ that you're that cheap

        • -5

          1/ you can actually get away with it without travelling to multiple stores

          They guys at the desk don't care. They asked me why i had 6 accounts and i said to get the FREE credit. They didn't mind at all.
          All the accounts are in my name so they usually put them all in one box for collection

          2/ that you're that cheap

          This is Ozbargain. We are here because we are cheap and we like free stuff

          2/ that you're that cheap

          He is probably just showing off and pretending he doesn't ever get any free things via OzB

          There is honest bargain hunting and savings and then there is playing the system as a low level scammer
          You can play Ozbargain any way you want. Depends where your morality takes you.

          @easternculture:
          Getting an honestly offered freebie and playing the system with multiple accounts are morally different things.
          Honest people don't need that explained.

          There is honest bargain hunting and savings and then there is playing the system as a low level scammer

          Maybe you can learn to read

          First I bought the membership for $5 fair and square

          Secondly , I admitted to the CS rep when picking up the items that I had 6 accounts . They didn't care

          Finally, all the accounts are in my name at the same address with the Same phone number . All orders are paid with the same credit card. A scammers tries to hide the identity. I have nothing to hide.

          @easternculture:
          Just because a single staff member did not step up and confront you does not make it OK or approved company policy.
          Do you honestly believe the company intends you as an individual to have six accounts and get six lots of free credit?
          You are taking much more than your fair share, which ultimately means less for everyone.
          It's greedy. It's also morally wrong, although you perhaps cannot see that.

        • +3

          @King Tightarse:

          In general I would agree with Tightarse that it is abusing the offer, but the terms and conditions actually do not state you cannot have more than one account.

          What a company intends with an offer and what terms and conditions allow can be different things.

          @JordanM:

          but the terms and conditions actually do not state you cannot have more than one account.

          Thank you Jordan. Im not breaching any company policy then.

          Maybe King TA should read T&C before making such accusations

          Just because a single staff member did not step up and confront you does not make it OK or approved company policy.

        • +2

          @JordanM:
          That's a valid point JordanM.
          They may have not anticipated abuse via multiple sign ups and thus it wasn't specifically written in to the T&Cs
          It's also why we have a moral compass.
          IE not every one needs to be specifically denied via a law or condition to know right from wrong, fair share from greed.
          So EC, do you really think it's OK to have six accounts only for the reason of getting free credit if not specifically legally denied, or is it just obviously greedy and wrong?
          Do you really think the company intends that?

        • -7

          @King Tightarse:

          It's also why we have a moral compass.

          Lol trying to justify your accusations now, are we?

          Just admit you are wrong and move on.

          SCA don't care, they took my membership fee and offer me free $5's of credit. I win and they win.

        • +5

          @easternculture:
          EC you used multiple emails to repeatedly sign up to get free credit. It effectively cost you nothing as your fee was reimbursed with credit and the accounts then harvest credit every promotion.
          You did that, obviously, to help yourself to more than your fair share of credits which ultimately means less in the promotions pool for everyone else. You apparently can't see it as wrong unless the company specifically anticipates this and it is spelt out and denied to you. Your reactions to this being in any way wrong seem both bewildered at any wrong-doing and smug at having succeeded so I assume many multiple accounts and massive freeloading is completely standard practice for you.
          I didn't really expect you to get whats wrong with taking more than your share - "it must be OK if you can get away with it eh EC?, but perhaps all those people who negged your first comment might be some kind of guide for you

        • +1

          @King Tightarse: I think most of the OZB do the same what EC does. As a true OZBargainer, we create many accounts and getting benefit of that. Some of the previous examples would be Mogul pizza, Groupon etc. also, by creating many accounts you are not taking others shares, because in reality, resources are unlimited

        • +4

          @easternculture: Please stop posting comments, I've used up all my daily negs at once.

        • +1

          @easternculture: Doesn't need to be an accusation, maybe he just formed an opinion you don't like?

          Having said that, thanks for the deal ;)

        • +1

          @Shemale: They're not unlimited. When people abuse it, a bargain becomes a loss for them. Most retailers now have stopped giving out free credits in response to price errors, because of people Brodening the deal and because they now know it won't be appreciated.

          Not saying EC is specifically abusing it, but avoiding www.ozbargain.com.au/node/262141 just means looking out for each other.

  • Do you want me to pick them up?

  • A few $2 export spray paint cans might be an idea. Just bought one today.

    • Pretty sure the $2 deal expires today or tomorrow

    They also have a competition
    Buy any 3 items and win a limited edition 2017 Tickford Ranger customised by our race team!
    I wonder if 3 x $1.50 items will qualify…
    To win it would be A REAL BARGAIN!!!

  • I'm still waiting on the $5 credit for signing up for a new membership three weeks ago.

    • I signed up two weeks ago and used it same day. Just go in store and buy something. They ask if you want to use it after they look you up.
      I then got credit I used the next day as the item went on sale so used that the next night.

  • I got this email too, normally I woudnt go, but I online bought some Penrite full syn. pro gear oil (highly reccomended) and I might pick it up on wed night, and see what specials may be!

    Im guessing its just early access to the Bathurst sale promo?

  • Are these sales typically worth attending. I need a new car battery so might go if they are decent. :)

    • +2

      SCA seems to be pretty good in their sales. Picked up a few things at their last member sales, and the store manager was out there doing a fry up BBQ for customers. I have yet to see that at any Repco (yet/ever)

      • fry up BBQ

        that's primarily why i went ;)

        • Now we need to find out which store has the bigger BBQ.

  • Received email confirmation about the $5 credit. Thanks OP

  • confirmed by email. I suspect $5 loyalty credit will magically appear in account at 3pm.

    • Mines already there at 1pm.

      • +1

        yup. mine's there too now.
        another free 4 pack of butanes $3.99 …and a pair of gripwell snap rings, 2 for $1 = $4.99
        SCA can keep the change ;)

  • Can you click and collect and pick up the item on the weekend or does the credit need to be spent in-store during the club night?

    • I've chosen click and collect no problem at all.

    • yeah they tell you those credits are for club night but i've always used them to c&c :D

  • +1

    Got the credit.
    Cheers for the tip off EC. Your sources were correct.
    Just the one account for me.

  • +1

    Hmmm….I am opted out from marketing emails. Does that mean I won't get the credit?

    • Want to know this too… :(

    • Still haven't got the credit. Guess no shopping night for me.

    • ahh me too, signed up yesterday and got the $10 credit, but haven't received a $5 credit to use today :( maybe thats why

    • I signed up about an hour ago, nothing has come in yet :/

      • please update if you get it, otherwise I will save my sign up for future

    • Signed up a few weeks ago yet to receive any credits. I'm assuming this is on top of the $10 credit you get for signing up?

      • did you confirm your email address?

      • Do you still get $10 credit when you sign up or that has been waived off?

  • Picked up Ridge Ryder Deep Dish Car Floor Mats - Black, Set of 2 Front for $16.95

  • No $5 for me…

  • Legend.

    Roll of duct tape and a funnel for $4.99 aka free :)

    You have to have signed up in advance and also subscribe to their marketing emails otherwise no credit for you.

  • Funny arvo for SA club members. As soon as I walked in there was a blackout, the guy at the desk said the credits wouldn't work because the computers were off. Later on they sent an email saying "Tonight’s Club Plus Shopping Night cancelled… due to extreme weather."
    Just used the credits online so all good I guess.
