You can but you have to get the right one, I bought the DC58 for $222 and bought the attachment from Amazon but they sent the wrong part. I got a refund then ended up getting the right part from the UK on ebay. Then bought a motor head for it as the one it comes with is tiny. Ened up costing about another $160+ on top of the purchase price but I'm sure there was a stick V6 model posted in the last few days that would come in cheaper.
~$278 for the Dyson V6 again from bing lee eBay with the same code.
not in stock anymore
@xEnt: ah didn't realise.
The model just below the standard V6 with a smaller head (V6 slim same motor and battery) is in stock and $320 plus post - http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Dyson-V6-Slim-Handstick-Vacuum-…
A higher model with the upgraded brush bar head as well as a mini motorised tool for cleaning upholstery (V6 Motorhead) is also in stock for $398 plus post - http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Dyson-V6-Motorhead-Handstick-Ca…
@rekabkram - in stock again
@maddykartik: the bing lee 278? its been marked up a lot higher frmo what i can see on bing lee store.
do you know if the DC45 extension Wand Assembly is interchangeable with DC58.
Argh, just bought this from David Jones two days ago for $249 and thought I got a good deal already….
Yep TA always has his magical way of finding unreal deals!
Same…
Return it if unused :)
Is this the long attachment that would fit?

I guess you would still need the motor head though so probably not that great of a deal
This is interesting, this can be converted up to a hand stick, but would a handstick with the stick removed and the appropriate mini-motor head, be as good as this for hair removal?
The overlap of these products in confusing. Are they effectively packaging the same vacuum motor with various different heads, then branding them differently?
Yup! I purchased a v6 standard tube for my dc58 - works perfectly.
Never buy the handheld. Have to bend a lot to do the work.
Think… you can lie down and do the work instead!
I bought it purely for passenger transport in the car, perfect for that
How many passengers can the DC58 transport and how far on a single charge?
1… it'll suck you off for about five minutes on turbo
@kronicmacstigator:
Imo, that's terrible. With some portable dvd you should at least get 3
all this dyson deals are sucking me in !!!
I see what you did there ;)
HAHAAHAHAHAHAHA
So should I buy this or does it suck?
It better suck, it's a vacuum!
HAHAHAHA
For a handheld, $200+! Get a Makita, at least then you can change the battery at will.
Im trying to order a C&C from Bing Lee in Canberra and it keeps telling me that it wont post the item to my location. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
I've got the dc34 which is the non animal head model and use it multiple times a day. It's so handy to clean up small messes and floorboard dust that I barely use the big vacuum cleaner.
Bought this one for in laws who have cats
Hmmm been looking at dysons for a while now does the DC58 compare to the DC45? Think would prefer stick to handheld only.
Are these any good? I had a play with one at work the other week and it didn't really seem to be powerful enough to be practical for large-scale use around the house.
No mate they are crap. Even the v6 has a few major flaws in design. This is the older model and is not worth r money on. Try the Bosch rechargeable vacs, they win all the Choice awards.
Just got done binge watching rick and morty - reminds me of this
Does anyone know if one can add a long attachment to this to make it into a stick vacuum or am I pushing my luck?
