When you consider 9kg of LPG is approx. 18L of LPG and its around 55cpl for a total of around $10, they are selling it with 30% mark up
A good deal, the others are criminal in what they charge!
LPG is usually a seasonal blend of propane and butane. These refills are propane only because propane boils at -42c. Using butane which boils about -0.2c for bbq's in cold weather is a recipe for bad things.
Only if you had 100% butane. LPG is always a mix, so the boiling point will be well below any temperature in Aus
LPG used to fill 9kg will always be propane … no matter the time of year ….
Great price for sure +1
i saw something similar at Johnny Boys pizza at Waverley Gardens.
Great price. Wish it was in NSW as well or bunnings doing close price for swaps.
Hooray for a small business.
Anyone know where i can buy a brand new bottle from? Brought a weber but no gas bottle.
Thanks in advance
You can buy brand new bottles from Bunnings
Not sure, but I have seen them at KMart or Big W as well. Bunnings have them for sure.
Buy a new bottle from Bunnings, BigW, any BBQ shop etc.
Refill it at places like this, and use it until it's about due to expire.
Then take the expired bottle to a swap-and-go, pay full price for the refill but get a newly stamped bottle that is good for another 10 years.
There are a few milk-bar type places around the area and out to Rowville that offer gas at this price.
Typically keep an eye in local shop windows (in places like Springvale) where they usually advertise via sticking bits of paper on the window.
I've used this place a few times now, friendly helpful staff and great price on gas refills, good for BBQ, home brew etc.Wolfy - could you please let me know the names of these places so I can add them to the other 1,500 locations I have in my website database. If you like, I will name you as the supplier of the information or just use "Wolfy"
Never thought my local milk bar would be here
Interesting timing lol
