A new service has been added with prime subscription and Makes prime worth it. I didn't need a VPN to access it on a trial subscription so YMMV

This service includes (streaming only):
Unlimited access to Audible Channels, a collection of short-form audio series that include podcasts by CNET and the Onion, as well as original programs.
Access to a rotating selection of Prime Exclusive Audiobooks that include a collection of best sellers, family favorites, celebrity-narrated classics, and more (available for Prime members to stream at no additional cost).

  • I think you just need a US address in your amazon addressbook to get prime.

  • What Prime features are available here? Does the fast shipping mean anything for us?

    • Get access to special Prime only deals

      • A lot of the Prime only deals don't ship to Australia. so you would need a US address/forwarding

Prime gives video, music and online storage as well.

I signed up last year and was surprised by the video offering, complemented Netflix well, but probably not worth the price for the videos alone.

Audible Channels has been pretty meh. I got it with my Audible subscription, and have struggled to find anything worthwhile.

      • I guess Prime is slightly cheaper than having two separate video & music streaming services and then you get little perks like this on top? Are there video region restrictions?

      • do you need a VPN to access Amazon Prime Video?

Shipping might save you a bit of time if you are shipping something that'd require a US based shipping forwarder to get here. Won't be any benefit otherwise as far as I'm aware.

  • Is this just a fancy word for podcast?
