The "Must Watch Video" was thoroughly non-mandatory.

  • Best customer service with gearbest. Not! Only buy from them if you do not want good after sales support.

    • Yes. Their customer service is "outstanding"…But then, there is PayPal dispute.
Hopefully, will get the backpack without the need for the dispute.

Best customer service with gearbest. Not! Only buy from them if you do not want good after sales support

What do you expect when you're buying cheap gadgets from China for next to nothing including free postage most of the time. You're not buying a Ferrari or shares in their company.

I've had no problems after many many orders with them, they have always resolved any problems to my REASONABLE satisfaction.

      • I'm pretty happy a number of dropshippers who has not (touchwood) missed an order yet:
        Geekbuying
        Banggood
        DX
        Pandawill
Some reasonably well credited ebay sellers

Worst case in these examples will be they screwed up the freight and taking a trip around the world to get here - but they still do.

        My current banned list is
Gearbest (worst reviews on the planet)
Zapals (until I see my orders)
Allied Express (Do not generally trust any seller here)

I had no problems with Banggood (most products I order) and DX (some products in the past). Never ordered from the others. However, Gearbest is definitely bottom of the list. They lied to me twice and I had to get Paypal involved. To me that's unacceptable. I still have no idea why they were allowed back on here.

Allied Express (Do not generally trust any seller here)

I assume you mean AliExpress not the courier Allied Express?

If so all credibility you have is gone, AliExpress is the largest e-commerce platform in the world and I and many others have purchased hundreds of things from there without problems.

I guess you don't trust eBay either despite them only being a platform.

Gearbest (worst reviews on the planet)

          More hyperbole… Worst reviews… LOL

@Maverick-au: I guess you didnt read my "Reasonably well credited Ebay Sellers" part in my original list.
Considering Ebay spun off Paypal as the main bartering system, along with an almost guarantee of delivery and interest for customers, I am not sure how you can compare this to Aliexpress, who does not use Paypal and has a very dated escrow system in place instead.
So what if there's hundreds of thousands of sellers? Ironically, they also sell exactly the same stuff on Ebay but at least I know I'd get paypal protection by paying maybe a tad extra.

Good to see you still show that you have no idea what you're talking about.

AliExpress use their own payment system which is like PayPal but bigger but by all means keep showing your ignorance.

AliExpress are easier to deal with then eBay if sorting out a problem, their is a larger range and they are cheaper.

Why do you talk about PayPal and eBay protection like they are the same? If you like paying a large amount more for a more limited range by all means continue to ignore the world's largest sales platform.

@Maverick-au: sam dastyari, is that you?

        • @mazorn: yep gb is the worst by a long shot. I feel you.

        • +2

Missing out! Aliexpress is fantastic if you're smart about it and get to know how to use it properly. Haven't had a problem with their Alipay system with 200 transactions over the past 18 months

      • The gadgets I bought from them were't cheap, as you say, so probably not a good thing to assume?

    • Only buy from them if you do not want good after sales support.

That's if you even receive your order in the first place…

    • I kinda think they have improved, for instance, I bought a quad from them (bought this one too to play around) and they even included a picture of the shipment along with tracking info which to me is some improvement from their last practises. I've taken the plunge, let's see ;)
