It works both the xbox 360 (without the receiver) or on the PC with the receiver..
It seems strange that the Windows version costs less than the official xbox 360 version..
Both are otherwise identical..(other than the bonus usb receiver)

The oem one does not include a usb receiver, is out of stock and costs about $35.55 AUD. Originally in USD right?

The OEM controller you linked to does not come with a PC USB dongle. An OEM controller with a PC USB dongle from DX (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.18437) costs $58.90 USD - significantly more than $45 AUD.
BTW if you read the feedback for the OEM controller you linked, there seem to be lots of people complaining about build quality and reliability - it looks like a fake to me.

Can you get stand alone USB dongles? I have 2x controllers and a dead Xbox 360. I want to use the controllers for a Windows PC, is there such an accessory that can pair with 360 controllers?
I don't think so, I was looking for such a product a while back and had no luck so I ended up buying a controller and dongle combo.
There was, but Microsoft stop producing them a while ago, so they're pretty hard to find. Best bet would be ebay if you only want the wireless gaming receiver.
You can get those from DealExtreme or Focal Price but they're not genuine. I myself want to use the wireless controller with my PC, couldn't find the genuine adapter thingy.

eb games sells the black one for $70 so $45 +$16 shipping is $61 making it a 9.00 saving. not bad suppose. i dont know how the came up with $16.00 shipping, use a express post satchel for $9.00 would be better. also 3% surcharge for credit cards.
EB sells wired ones for $50, GAME sells wireless 360 controllers without the dongle for $54. This is a bargain. But postage to sydney costs $16. For me it would cost $61 without a dongle. I wonder where you can buy original ms dongles nowadays
hello i bought the black version with a a dongle for $70 just last week.
Total cost of the item with shipping is $60 which is the retail price.
Not a bargain by any means unless you are in close proximity to the shop.
