      No Melbourne?

      • +1

        No

Can a mod put this in the main post and title?

  • Not sure if the 50% off the A La Carte or Set Menu as it is not stated any. Assume both is covered, seems like a good deal.

    • I've used these offers a few times and it usually covers all food on the menu but note that drinks are still full price.

    • It tells you on the booking confirmation screen before you click book now.

  • You are the best.

    No love for Melbourne?

  • Done for Sicilian in Parramatta. Thanks!

    • Make sure you tell them that you have the special. Last 2 times I went, they gave me a full priced bill.

      • No problem. I did book it in using the 50% offer

        • So did I, but they tend to just walk you in without putting down that youve made a reservation.

  • Thanks got it in crows nest. Will give it a go.

  • Woo. these have been booked out really quick ! Thanks !

  • yeah all the ones I wanted were booked out by 1230 :(

Get ready to be treated like scum.

The last time I used a dinner voucher was when I was at Uni,
I took my GF to a seafood restaurant called in Darling Harbour, I forgot the name it started with an "O" but now it's called CYREN

Anyway… we presented the voucher and immediately the waiter's expression changed. They never even visited us to ask if we need anything once we ordered, the other tables were visited quite frequently.

Was the food full size or half portion?

      • I ordered the Tuna steak, it was taking up about 30% of the plate size lol

    • This isnt a deal voucher so its a little different.

    • So true

  • -1

There is no voucher to present, the 50% off is tagged to your booking.

    • +1

Will they know you are only paying them half before they serve you, though?

      • +1

        Yes

      • Sure they do. And they know that you will have a chance to review them afterwards on the Dimmi website.

I think that explains why I've never had a bad experience with a 50% off Dimmi special but quite a few with Groupon and the like…

      • +1

but do dimmi reimburse the restaurants at all? or are the restaurants purely doing this so just can get further reviews?

    Cool name: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dhimmi

A dhimmi ([ðimi]; Arabic: ذمي, meaning "protected person") refers to specific individuals living in Muslim lands, who were granted special status and safety in Islamic law in return for paying the capital tax.
