Worth noting that these are third party or aftermarket controllers/peripherals. They are a fraction of the price of the originals but don't expect the same quality or longevity of the original Nintendo product as you may be disappointed.

    • Surprisingly, it actually reviews quite well on the site.
The only con I found in the reviews was the lack of a grip, but that is for the official ones as well, there is also a defected one, but that's unlikely

      • +3

That's only out of 7 reviews.
Looking at this product on Amazon there are many more reviews and most of them are negative. (link)

        • Is that the same one though?

        • +1

@thatguy678: with aftermarkets, there's only one or two types with the exception of actual branded ones (Hori, Madkats etc) and even then a lot are just the same crappy controller rebadged.

So, it's most likely the same.

Having said that, you get what you pay for. Definitely wouldn't use it if you're planning to play Smash Bros competitively or don't want to make excuses when you lose ;)

Wouldn't bother unless it's an original.

  • Code doesn't appear to work for me for some reason.

    • I'll look into it, out of interest, which product are you buying?

      • The 'adapter' listed in the OP.

  • Outside of eBay, is there any sort of 'go to' place for controllers of retro consoles? I host a dinner every 3 weeks or so, and have decided to give the usual Singstar and Guitar Hero a break and pull out one of my retro consoles for my guests, however I only ever have 2 controllers at most…for anything =/ and would like to offer more. Are there any third party brands that people recommend? Would something like this be worth it, even though it won't last long, does the cheap price still make it worth it?

    • I can't comment specifically for this controller but im pretty sure this should apply for all these sort of cheap China made controllers. Bought a cheap wii classic pro controller, dpad and shoulder buttons aren't very responsive so you need to push down on them harder than usual which is tiring on the fingers.
