I'm guessing you haven't been in store for a while?

I can't believe what they get away with.

I bought some Melatonin. Got home and realised "homeopathic 6X" literally means there is NO active ingredient.

I bought some Magnesium. Got home and realised it's Magnesium Oxide which has bioavailability of less than 5% - basically your body won't absorb it.

Completely unethical and pharmacists should be ashamed.

Or you could save 100% by y'know, not buying them.

    • I'm so putting that algorithm into a spreadsheet. ;)

      On what?

SO when they say half price they don't mean half price that they sell them for.
They mean half the RRP which they never sell at.

Mr Vitamin sells one product at $28.95 they sell for 'half' price at $22.47.

What is the standard for deceptive conduct??

I'm guessing you're new to the game? :)

  • they are always half of RRP when you go to their store. What is new in it.

  • Vitamin c was cheaper last week 19 dollar for 1g 150 tabs. Bad deal

I checked a couple of the Blackmores ones, they are 30% off what they sell for at other chemists, not 50% off…

          That's not Niacin :(

    • not always…

eg. expecting mums taking the right vitamins…

      • Folate is wise to reduce the risk of a rare deformity.
Blackmores folate is $4.50, but they push the Guilty Mum's "Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Gold Capsules" for $32.49 .Some people can benefit from the iron, but most of the ingredients are useless.

I got tennis and golf elbow, hurts like paying full price, so was considering this

    http://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/59228/Nature-39-s-Way…

Turns out Coles is cheaper this week

    http://shop.coles.com.au/online/national/natures-way-joint-r…

Lucky I did some homework. Whether this product will help my elbows or not, dunno, I'm desperate.

    • Nice..get well soon :)

    • If it's tennis or golfers elbow it is your tendon that's inflamed, not your joint. Anti inflamitories are your best bet or get a referral for a cortisone injection if its really bad.

Disclaimer: I do not have any medical expertise, just someone who has been through it before.

JB HiFi also use this sales strategy hence why now every sale item on their website and tagged inshore comes with the warning 'This sale item may have been sold previously at a cheaper price' as instructed by ACCC.
