CSR Caster Sugar 500g $0.80 ($1.60/kg) @ Officeworks - Click & Collect

660

On clearance. Seems to be either click and collect or delivery. Appears to be available in every state except NSW after setting different store locations? Have a try at setting to your nearest store, sorry if it's not available.

Cheaper than $1.90/kg @ Coles and $2.02/kg @ Woolworths.

  • Price comparisons above are as far as I know for VIC, might be slightly different in your own State/Territory

        I'm wondering how many cookies you could make with 500g of caster sugar

        • If you use the 101 cookie recipe prob 2-300 depending on recipe lol

      • Same here, unavailable…it does offer me the alternative 1kg for $2, which is still a great deal.

        • The 1KG deal is for $1.90 at Coles. Try that? :)

          @stuhtb: Really? I was at my local Coles last night & I deliberately didn't buy caster sugar because it was way more than regular refined white…generic was nearly $2 for 500g IIRC.

          I even put a cup of good old white crystals in my herb grinder today to make cookies! ;)

          @StewBalls:

          "herb grinder" cookies

          @StewBalls:

          Most people wouldn't require caster sugar over normal white sugar.

        • +1

          @tranqme: Anybody who bakes would…

        • -3

          @StewBalls:

          Right, hence why I said most people, and the minority being those that require it for baking.

        • @tranqme: So your initial comment has zero relevance.

          You really should google what things are for before you embarrass yourself with clueless comments dude…just FYI.

          @StewBalls:

          I said most people that buy white sugar don't require caster, as normal is good enough.

          Therefore, your comment reply above saying that Coles caster is more expensive than refined sugar is irrelevant.

    What? Officeworks sells caster sugar? lol

    • +5

      Offices use a lot of sugar for coffee ;)

      • Because of the fine consistency, you also get more sugar & less air per teaspoon…in short, a clinical dose for high professional productivity. ;)

    WTF it worked. Thanks OP

    Sweet deal

  • officeworks clearance items rarely actually have any stock.

    Can I get my bread and milk from Officeworks too?

    • +2

      milk but no bread - though they do have sandwich press and toaster :)

      • +1

        Who needs a shredder when you have a toaster?

      If only this sugar were as sweet as you sir!!!

    In America, first you get the sugar…then you get the power…then you get the women.

      Echo?

  • Is this cheaper than costco?

    • Really? Working for me right now.. Try clearing cookies and cache as mentioned at the top of the comments section :)

  • My order got rejected - it's been cancelled.

  • I picked up mine today. Got 5! The date on the sugar was 11/05/11 so I reckon it's pretty old stock. Came nicely packaged in a taped Officeworks box. Looks like it was shipped from elsewhere, not store stock. Probably why it was only available online. I had to clear my browser and try a few times to get it working properly as per above.

    • +1

      Yeah all online orders are processed, picked and packaged at the warehouse. That's why not all stock is available in-store. There's a finite amount of shelving space and the stock that'll appear in-store depends on the planogram. But then again, you'll be surprised by what they stock in the warehouse.

  • Ew, just got mine and says packed date is 11/MAY/11 :( I think that's a bit old… even for me.
