Not the best deal for those on the points chase train however, HSBC has pushed up the points earned as a bonus to 60,000 Qantas Points with the HSBC Platinum Qantas Credit Card along with included travel and purchase insurances. There's a $199 annual fee and 1 Qantas Point earned per $ spent, which is high for a VISA, up to 2,500 points per month, 0.5 points per $ spent thereafter.

1 to $1 and no points cap
However no joining incentiveAnnual fee of $195
i am thinking HSBC one is better, as you are getting 60000 points as well
Anyone had experience with HSBC waiving annual fees?
Not very responsive if you ring to cancel before you pay the fee, but I had success when I rang to cancel after the fee was paid, complained of excessive annual fee and they waived it, the last 2 years have been fee free. The card was better before May last year when they stopped QFF points for ATO payments…now it is my main card for 1:1 Visa purchases
where did all of the comments on here go? There were more, and I think they were about health insurance…
How long will it take before the 60k FFP hit my account?
I signed up when it was the 40 k deal, and I think the points posted around 3.5 months in.
Thanks, so I better wait before cancelling the card.
2500 points cap per month is very low, however few Visa cards offer 1 point per dollar these days, so not a bad option if you only use it where AMEX is not accepted.
