Nah, Bulova is an American brand, established roughly 1880s ish. It is quite a recognised brand as it used to be a brand that US presidents would give to international guests at one point. But since Quartz movement came out, they had a difficult time selling watches and around 2008? 09? not sure, but Citizen (Japanese brand) bought the company.
