Referee gets $2 in coupons. Referrer gets 10% off (if referee spends over US$10)
Does it start on low? Does it has memory of last use mode?
Starts on medium, then low, then high. Doesn't has memory….
Start at medium is great. Bought 2 in Nichia variation.
OK so Cree is brighter and more efficient, but Nichia has better colour rendition(?)
What does that mean, and considering it is a pen light, why would you need high CRI / colour accuracy?
Get one of each and see what you like. 200 vs 125 lumen is not much difference when you have them side by side. I prefer the warm Nichia colour. The Cree tint is very sharp for my eye. It is irritating to me.
ok so from what I see, the cree is yellow ie warm, and the nichia is cooler / more "natural", so the light reflected back from any object would be a "truer" colour?
Nichia is warm and easy on the eye with better colour rendition just like the sun in the morning and evening.
Cree is cooler but bright and almost white. The colour rendition is less natural and hurts my eyes.
Cheers, I stand corrected. So many pics to compare

Yes Cree cool white and nichia neutral.
Thanks for explaining reason for colour rendition
I think I like this Astrolux A01 Nichia 219B 102LM AAA Mini Waterproof Keychain EDC LED Flashlight for $10.68 although it doesn't have a zoom.
They are nice. I have bought 4 last time. Nice tint but it is a twisty switch.
Excellent price
Bought one, should make a nice work edc
