Do I need another kit? hmmmm…

    • +2

      Hmmm, I'm leaning towards no…

    • +3

I told myself I would look after my set forever and never lose any. Lost one Phillips head screwdriver 2 days later. Still shattered until this popped up. Now I'll buy another set :)

    • +1

Do I need to replace mine from 5 years ago? Maybe.

  • +23

Does it come in Valyrian Steel?

    • +13

Only if you use a lannister credit card and promise to repay all debts

      • +2

Rather scavenge for dragon glass tools than have to deal with Lannisters' high interest rates and biased 'Family only' offers.

  • +8

Omg! This deal is back. I have been using this set for diy house and automotive stuff and they have been great. Good range of sizes and excellent value.

    • +7

NSW stock list. Will update VIC and QLD soon.

      http://sendvid.com/3rhusz9g

      • Thanks for the NSW stores - if possible could you say how many are in Ashfield? (I think you started off at Bankstown)

      • There was none at Bunnings Hawthorn today…

        • Just drove out to Rouse Hill. 71 in stock! They didn't have them on display. They do now. :)

  • +5

Great screwdrivers, the holder is flimsy and breaks quickly. Definitely worth $19

    • +2

Agreed - I own this kit. The holder is terrible (screwdrivers easily fall out when not clipped in the original spot). The screwdrivers are great.

    • Owner here too.

Flimsy case WILL break no matter how careful you are.
Screwdriver heads not very tough, I mostly use one philips size and the head is damaged (metal chipped off).
Never had problems with any other hand tool I've owned

      • Agreed - holder is flimsy. Mine hasn't broken but does a lousy job of holding everything in. Good range of sizes for around the house. Everything from spectacle arms to general jobs. Tips are not super tough. OK for general domestic but would not use for heavy automotive.

  • Wish they had a few Pozi screwdrivers in the set of 40. Will make assembling Ikea furnitures easier

    • +8

      Maaate…
There's a bit-holder handle. While you're at Bunnings, grab a posidriv bit or two from the bit counter, and Bob's your Aunty's live-in lover.

      • +3

Well screw my driver! Always wondered why Aunty Val had a gleam in her eye when she talked about chauffeur Bob.

    • +1

Will make assembling Ikea furnitures easier

Just use the screwdriver that Ikea supplies with the furniture.

      • darn-it, i lost the assembly instructions for the screw-driver, but it didnt matter anyway, all the pictures where in a different language

  • +1

Is a very good set for the price, the case though is a big let down and I think it should have a stubby phillips head but no real complaints for $19.

  • What are these drivers like to put a shifter onto the base for more power, it does not look like they have that!

what a darn about the case, im alommost too old to bother with good tools, but when i did the case's are important this time around..

    • The shaft is round, not hex. So, no.

    • +1

I can tell you now, these are not strong enough for that.

    • Get an impact driver.

  • -1

    Was $10.01

    • +1

was only in one store, so not really a deal-breaker…

For $19 it's an amazing set, the quality is decent!

    • Can confirm it wasn't. I actually found stock in a regional area and it was $19

  • only if I didn't just buy from Aldi the $8 pack - this looks better :(

    • Take the Aldi ones backan then.

  • +4

I'll post a stock list later today.

    • +1

Thanks. It was advertised in today's Melbourne Herald Sun and I'm sure advertised in the other papers too, so I would hope there would be decent stock levels overall.

  • No precision T5? :(

    • No, would be handy for smartphones.

  • I bought one from the previous deal and its an awesome Screwdriver Set.

  • Instore only?

  • +2

For those on the fence to buy another set - just have a set to keep in your car, or upstairs/downstairs etc etc

I'm making excuses to get another myself lol

  • Bought this at the time of the last deal. As mentioned by others, great drivers but the case/carrier doesn't do a great job.

  • Thanks i just bought one.
They have about 30 left at the Broadmeadows Victorian store….good luck

  • Ah, screw it.

Only day gave the car to the wife too!

  • Magnetised?

    • One of the comments in last year's thread says it is.

    • Yes it is.

  • +1

Stanley no longer have their traditional lifetime warranty.
It now is 12 months on most items.
    Something to be aware of.

  • walking all over my bunnings in penrith and do not see them.

    • +16

      Go 'inside' bunnings then..😉

  • Bought set last year and use religiously. Maybe a little bit of overkill with so many pieces, but better safe than sorry. +1!

  • Just purchased from Collingwood. They have 2 more boxes on their shelf.

    • Planning to go this evening…Hope to snag one of them :(

  • How much are these normally?

  • Altona north with plenty of stock

  • My philips driver snapped like a piece of chalk just the other day, didn't think that would happen with a stanley set.

    • They're not up to the usual/old quality

  • -7

Is $19 the rrp? I get that this set represents good value but is OzBargain about posting good value items or good bargains (ie less than rrp)?
To the neggers… Firstly why neg a question? Secondly negging without even sharing your opinion is just weak.

  • magnetic tips?

    • yes (according to previous post)

  • 2 left at Scoresby (Vic) store.

  • +2

Got one from last year. Still sitting in the garage unopened. I'm hopeless :(

    • +1

Me too so don't feel too bad

  • There is stock at the new Ringwood Store - that staff can find.
Seems it's not a 'real' Bunnings (according to Staff) and as such does not stock all items or have all specials and promotional sales available.

  • Quite a few left at Bonnyrigg Bunnings. Good little set.

  • Plenty at Bunnings Broadmeadows. At least 20-30.

Didn't get one because I bought the Bacho from a previous deal.

  • must buy

  • Guys, make sure you scan your trade card to get further 5% off!

    • how to get one?

      • Get an ABN and apply for one, very quick and easy but you may not get it in time for this deal (but just ask anyway)

        • I have just applied, wondering whether I can use the temporary paper pass to get the discount?

Also I couldn't see anywhere about the 5% off.

        • @superforever: You should be able to, give it a try now. 5% off is a generic tradie discount, but doesn't always apply when you shop at Bunnings, but does apply to this deal fortunately.

  • Hoppers Crossing had plenty in stock when I was there this afternoon.

  • Good kit though I am looking for a all in one kit with all basic tools such as some screw drivers, a small hammer and plyer and so on? Any suggestions?

  • 60 left in Bunnings Cairns City

  • Plenty at Bankstown ( near air port ) , full pallet no one buy …

  • +1

still quite a few at nth coburg VIC

  • Bought one today and noticed empty slots when you remove the yellow sticker. The picture at the back shows the slots filled with sockets…..I find it interesting Stanley didn't put these part of the kit

  • Plenty at Balgowlah store - just not in the aisle with the rest of the screwdrivers (there is a stand of them one aisle across). Picked up a set so thanks OP!

  • Thanks, been wanting to buy a set for dad!

  • Must be stores with old stock of this case style.

Joondalup(WA) had nothing besides a very similar set in a regular plastic case with similar items for $29

  • Thanks op…

Picked up from Artarmon store.. Looked like 60+ left.

Also picked up this hole saw kit which was hidden away on top of shelf. Seems like a really good deal compared to what the branded stuff goes for..
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/craftright-16-piece-holesaw-set_…

  • Anyone know closest to melb cbd that has them in stock ? Port melb is out

  • In stock at Pakenham.

  • Thanks OP. Picked up a set at the Coburg store at around 4pm today. Still plenty of stock left.
