Stanley 40 Piece Screwdriver Set $10.01 @ Bunnings Warehouse (Clearance Item)

1010

This previous deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/206185) got 322 votes at $19.

The item is now clearing for $10.01 at the Oxenford store (EDITED: were 18 left, now sold out)

Other stores still have them at $19 but maybe you can use the receipt and talk to the manager to get the price down.

There were 30+ at Bethania,
Other nearby stores were showing up empty.

p.s. there is a code on the $10.01 sticker.. reads '5520112'. I'm guessing this is their own product (F/L) code.. may be handy if you plan on calling your local store.. otherwise the code on the receipt is 3253 5606 21445

The ozbargain is not strong within this one

Don't know why someone negged you, it's a great idea. I do it all the time. Plussed you to correct the balance of the Ozbargain force :P

          Ditto.

Nearly four months down the track? Surely they turn you away?

          @johnno07:

bunnings are actually really great for this.
I've returned a lot of ancient stuff there, sometimes even with damaged packaging.. they don't mind if the item is ok/unused. Actually, it's their hassle-free returns that are the main reason they are my main hardware store (spent 15k+ there in last year)

Masters can drill you a bit more and have a 12 month period. They can allow 12months+ with a call to the manager to request it.

Ikea allow 12 months and I think 12months+ if you bought on your ikea club card thing.

sorry.. more information than you ozbargained for. :)

@Stitchy: Well there you go. Thanks for the info!

        • +1

yeah I do it too! even if it's like for a few dollars lol.. +'d the comment as it doesn't deserve any negs!

Be that as it may, I don't even know if still have the damn receipt! :(

        • @Stitchy:

Returns are great at Bunnings but the same cannot be said about Masters.

Returned a microwave that had a broken light (under warranty) to Masters South Morang, VIC. According to Panasonic's warranty any item under $250 (this microwave qualified) with a fault should just be replaced by the retailer and they can claim credit from Panasonic.

So printed the terms before I got there. Staff totally ignored Panasonic terms when presented. Idiot manager/team member was considering repairing the light (by opening the microwave) with no technical qualifications (which I flatly refused), spent/wasted 20-25 minutes looking for a replacement microwave to exchange and then only offered the ex-demo.

So when it comes to Masters the only time I will be shopping there is when they are having a closing down sale and only to laugh at the staff/Woolworths for thinking that you can take on a big player like Bunnings with that sort of s#!t customer service.

      • Gonna do this this weekend… along with all the screws

  • did anyone call perth stores or bought one?

  • Just went to Bethania store still $19 there

    • i'll update deal to reflect this

    • Other Brisbane stores too, but I'm ready to argue the point!

  • too bad price reduction is less than $10, otherwise I'd have claimed price protection

  • +1

checked carseldine, mt gravatt, underwood and bethania all $19.
just checked oxenford on the exact same register you purchased through and is now saying $19.

    • What price was on the shelf tag?

    • yes the register at oxenford showed $19, but the packets all have a $10.01 sticker on them, the operator manually altered the price to $10.01

      • +2

Please tell me you paid with cash so you didn't have to pay that extra 1c?

  • +1

Paid $19 and have had a lot of use. Great value at $19 even better at $10

  • You're lucky if you can find stock. They were a father's day promo item, most stores won't have them

  • I have one from the last deal it is really good quality I used it all the time.

  • +1

"Other stores still have them at $19 but maybe you can use the receipt and talk to the manager to get the price down"
You know how bad bunnings with their price-beat. THey should advertise "We will price-up it by 10%"

Anyway, this post should get 500++ votes and goes abit viral. Perhaps try to change the main picture.
I honestly almost skipped this bargain as the picture is "blank"

    • Thanks, it would deserve 500++ if the stock levels were ok, and pricing nationwide.. as it is I'll take whatever I can get :)

sorry bout the picture.. i uploaded the receipt in the area usually reserved for that.

  • Anyone found any in Sydney?

  • +3

Thanks OP, scored the last/only one at Albion, QLD store.

This might not be applicable to every store but between the old biddies and young arrogant twats they employ there, good service is hard to come by. When I showed then the receipt I was shouted down with "HUR DUR ITS A WEBSITE", and after patiently attempting to explain that it is a digital copy of a receipt, I put my foot down and demanded the manager interject, at which point everything was resolved, albeit with the young fellow who "served" me scowling with a face like a smacked arse.

TL,DR - be prepared to haggle with them, given the imbeciles they employ at Bunnings.

  • Unfortunately none at Bunnings Warrawong (NSW). Pity, as it'd have made a great Xmas present.

  • stopped by oxenford on my way home.. they said they sold out around lunch time.. were going like hotcakes. turns out they were actually in aisle 62.. with the blinds/awnings.. probably would have sold out straight away if they were in the toolshop.

  • There are none in scoresby, dandenong, springvale, only 1 left in oakleigh south.
