Great Headset. Thanks might grab another one after I gave mine to my sister.

  • Wow thanks op

  • There's a LOT of complaints online about these - particularly related to the mic. Can anyone comment on that?

Do they connect to the controller with a dongle or fully wifi to connect to the audio via the controller?

Edit - is the boom mic in the box or so you still need to wait for it by mail after registering your product?

Edit 2: so these have less appeal of you have more recent controllers and don't need the 3.5mm adapter as the newer controllers already have that built in. And they're not really wireless - they connect by cord to the controller. Then, from there, it is wireless.

    • You need to update the headset and the mic problems shouldn't be a problem

  • Wanted to buy for awhile, couldnt get good price Nd gave up. Thankyou!

I bought two of them for my boys last Christmas and they love them. The quality, comfort and solid sound profile make them good for playing games on the Xbox one or for listening to music on pc, tablet etc. The omnidirectional mic is not good. If you want to talk to your friends online you will have to talk very loud so they can hear you, like talking to a deaf person. The chat pro mic they supply in the box is good but you can break the cable as it tends to want to twist and curl around. I contacted the company in California and they are sending me some replacement chat pro mic which should arrive soon. It plugs into the supplied headset adapter * saves you $34 which allows you instant volume and mic options etc or just plug it into the controller if you have the new one but no instant volume and mic options. As a side note they are built strong.

  • These will also work in general too, pretty handy as a backup

  • I bought one of these back when Big W had the for half off (just before the mic problems came about); I don't think the mic works properly even after an update, it's just not close enough to be effective. On the other hand the boom mic works good (or at least mine did until I broke the cable). Also the leather on the earcups and strap started to come off bit by bit.

  • When I click on the link, it looks like it's a fake DS account. Only 4 feedback ratings for the user. Anyone else seeing that?

    • The Kogan buyout didn't bring the old DS ebay account across

  • Ended up grabbing one earlier today.

Don't know why I did, as I don't online game much to-date, and have so many good sets of headphones already.

For Xbox One gaming I'm currently using bluetooth ones for true wireless audio (getting the audio feed from the AV receiver). Sounds tremendous.

Anyway - will be good to experiment with more options, and to have the audio adapter just in case (despite both my controllers having the 3.5mm jack).

JB Hifi are selling these babies for $218! Jeepers.

    • Don't know why I did…

      That's the OzBargain way.

    • Hey fookos, when you receive these can you please let me know if an attachable boom mic was included? Thanks

  • I'd better close this window before I buy another headset. I got a couple of the SteelSeries Siberia X100's from Kogan recently for $12/ea. If I buy these ones (very tempted) I think my wife might notice and wonder why I've got yet another pair.

      • thanks mate! shame the deal is expired now, i waited too long haha

  • Anyone had a shipping notification?

Kogan's Dick is slower than what Dick Smith used to be…

    • Nope.

EDIT: Sorry, did receive shipping notification on 15/8 (ordered on 11/8). Arrived today.

      • Cheers - mine arrived today also. Still in packaging as I'm at work. Will check it out tonight if I have time.

The two I ordered arrived on Friday (nice yellow bags) with the Chat pro mic inside each box. As a side note the additional two Chat pro mics arrived last Tuesday from the Polk Company in California. Very quick service I must say…..

    • How do I get my one from polk?

      • Say out aloud just before bed tonight, "please polk, send me a boom mic". If that doesn't work, contact Polk by phone or email…

        • Dont be facetious, i was asking if he arranged through kogan or polk direct.

        • @Slippery Fish:

Go to Polk. Has nothing to do with Kogan but if you've just purchased one it should be included in the box.

        • @fookos:oh, I havnt realy had a chance to play yet.

Thankyou for answering me btw, I was rude and did not say it before, my appologys

        • @Slippery Fish:

          No worries. Enjoy.
