Not the cheapest of deals, but mostly for those who are particular about where they stopover at - in this case, either Singapore or Hong Kong. Compared to the Qantas fares, they seem cheaper.

  • I mean havent we seen much cheaper rates on Qatar and Etihad in the past, even Qantas?

Ive never been thoroughly impressed by BA service in eco not business… but it is one world points i suppose.

    • +1

I used BA for internal Europe flight, and was very impressed.

Other airlines, e.g. Qatar and Etihad might be cheaper. But some might prefer Singapore or Hong Kong stopover, instead of stopovers in the middle-east. So yes, it is intended more for that segment of people.

  • Seems expensive, how much is it normally?

    • +1

A few hundred more, perhaps? They were comparable to Qantas fares, from what I can remember.

Great prices for Barcelona, Rome and Amsterdam. Don't be fooled by the '1 stop' only indicator - BA lists SYD-LHR as a direct flight, probably because it's the same plane flying through from Singapore but in fact you'll have stops in both SIN and LHR. Also, it's not very clear what the total flight duration is when booking on ba.com.

    • So for Barcelona, Rome and Amsterdam, you stop in LHR? Wow, seems a bit crazy. I'd say this isn't a deal if that is the case.

      • +1

Same with Frankfurt (which means you'll fly over Germany first, to LHR to then fly back). I believe most/all BA flights into Europe will go via LHR/LGW (Gatwick) since London is their base.

      • +1

London is BA's hub so as far as I am aware all European destinations will route via London. If you want to see London on your European trip you may be able to make it a stop over though which could make this fare interesting.
