If you are after this brand of dishwashers, seem to be a decent price for this model. Other models also has $200 off! Some has $300 off.

I wouldn't call it a bargain or deal.
Miele have promotions every 3 months or so.Truly unbelievable, let's shut down OZbargain because all the retailers have sales every few months so according to you none of these are worth posting about.
@mav you would have to have an understanding of how retailers use RRP's and how ridiculous they are in reality for you to understand JB1's comment….
a 20% discount off the RRP doesn't really qualify as a bargain especially as these promotions regularly.
At full price Miele is very expensive, at 20% off, it's expensive but bearable.
Great products BTW. However I do wonder if salespeople push agency brands (Miele, Asko etc) due to the higher profit margin over say Bosch which is still a very good product.
If you want a cheap Miele, go to the factory outlet.
Is there one in melbourne, I see a lot of sydney references to one..
Ferntree Gully Road in Knoxfield.
I plan to visit the store when I fit out my new house, most likely for a Dishwasher and Oven. My last 2 dishwashers were Asko but I'm not as confident about their products since they moved production offshore.
The prices for their induction cooktops are out of this world. Much much better value elsewhere.
will keep that in memory for when all my siemens stuff breaks down, which have a 5 year warranty and bought at 48% off retail..
time will tell..I know everyone that has a miele dishwasher usually raves about it, but I aint paying full price…
mixo
Yeah I agree, good rep, but not worth it at full retail.
Where did you get Siemens stuff at near half price?
Siemens is top qualify stuff (a better Bosch), a 5 year warranty backs that up.
I got them when es trading had their yearly clearances…
I bulked at there normal shop prices just as expensive as Miele..
Was about to buy them from overseas when I saw their sale in 2014, so I bought locally.mixo
Thanks. 48% off just shows the profit margin, I bet they weren't losing money either.
I'll keep an eye out on their sales. I need to fit out 2 houses with good appliances, selling one house so I would like to have a brand name European appliance such Miele, Asko, Siemems, AEG etc.
I'm not sure why real estate agents/developers like to promote Smeg, overpriced rubbish IMO.
@JB1:
Totally agree with you JB1
Be careful with miele. My dishwasher repair dude has come across hundrends of them where the motors die in only around 3 years. The motors are around $800-$1400 to replace.
You can buy a new dishwasher for that. These are made in china not italy like some of the miele products.

Utter rubbish, Miele do the servicing with their own staff and their reliability is second to none.

You have no idea what you're talking about, most Miele dishwashers are assembled at a Miele factory in Germany or the Czech Republic by Miele employees from German Miele manufactuted components (this is because of a German tax on dishwashers).
Haven't had an issue with any of Miele appliances. The washing machine was 13 years, the vacuum cleaner is probably 20 years, the fridge is at least 5, the dishwasher was 20 years and I only replaced it because it was noisy compared to the modern ones. However, we have friends with a Bosch dishwasher they have had untold problems with and our original Bosch fridge didn't last 3 years.
Just saying, as a repair agent myself for Miele, not all warranty work is done by Miele direct; they outsource to lots of businesses where they dont have their own people (as do all companies, including Electrolux, F&P, Bosch, etc).
Also, the motors go for about $550 + time to fit + assessment which sometimes does bring it into the $750-800 range for a repair (so neofelis's repair agent is correct in their pricing - $1400 probably refers to some induction cooking gear). The motor/wash motor itself is pretty reliable but unfortunately the element and pressure switch sit on the motor and cannot be purchased from Miele seperately; you have to buy the complete motor. We sometimes remove the elements from dead motors for out-of-warranty customers but most of the time we run out and you have to get the whole thing. The elements are no different (or better) than any other manufacturer; which is why they sometimes go and you require the complete motor.
Miele is notoriously expensive across board for ALL parts though; that goes for washers, dishwashers, rangehoods, dryers and especially their induction cooktop gear.
oh what would you know…. your only the DAMN AGENT for them :P
thanks for chiming in with some actual facts and knowledge… rather than just more of mavericks bullshit again.
They don't have "second to none" reviews

They don't have "second to none" reviews
ProductReviews where only people with problems generally post, great source there. Why not try the Choice stats in Australia where every year Miele sit at the top for both reliability and customer satisfaction for a unbiased view.
lol. more "facts"
Er…..don't tell fibs mate. Say something useful.
Good timing on the comments. Waiting for the Meiele repair guy today to fix our 3 yr old Miele dishwasher that is tripping the RCD everytime it is switched on. Had to wait 1 1/2 weeks to this point for an appointment. Miele saying out of warranty.
Exactly how old is it? if it's less than 4 years old with a 3 year warranty, you would hope they fix it under goodwill.
I like Miele but that if they refused to fix it, I wouldn't be giving then another cent.
Yeah avoid the made in china Miele…. you have to pay $1800+ for a made in germany one….
Good to see a couple of Miele "experts" chiming in with useful information…
Your dishwasher repair dude has come across "hundreds" of them blah blah blah. I'm calling BS, just like your BS about made in China. I own this exact model, and the data plate clearly says "Made in Germany". Cost was around $1000 from the Miele unboxed outlet in Sydney. Very happy with it so far.You got a bargain

As someone else said, the price is fixed by mile. You can buy discounted gift cards to buy tho.
Miele sets the price so it will be the same price all over australia..
No bargaining with miele products
mixo
Edit : well on whitegoods anyway
Hahahaha made in China some people Rubish what the can't afford
Miele is the best brand for dishwashers, washing machines, ovens etc but you pay for it!!!
Well that's your opinion…
And my opinion is bang for buck they are very expensive whitegoods…
All agency brand products like miele, neff and a few other that escape me you pay thru the nose here in australia because they are perceived as high end..
If you like paying full price for this sort of stuff I don't think you are true OZbarainger!
mixo
P.s Nothing wrong with made in china as long as the price reflects this.i.e the savings passed onto the consumer and not mieles pocket..
Well that's your opinion…
No it's not, Miele constantly worldwide come out on top for reliability and customer satisfaction. This is a fact.
And my opinion is bang for buck they are very expensive whitegoods…
Our Miele dishwasher is 21 years old and still going like new, find another brand that has that sort of reliability.
All agency brand products like miele, neff and a few other that escape me you pay thru the nose here in australia because they are perceived as high end..
Miele is high end so I have no idea what you are going on about.
And my opinion is bang for buck they are very expensive whitegoods…
You're entitled to your opinion. Put an energy consumption meter on on and then compare the difference. The eco cycle, which is what we mostly use, used the equivalent of 13 cents and 6 or 7 litres of water for a load. We did the calculations and worked out we would easily save the difference in price in less than 2 years on cheaper machines, just in power consumption. It's also very quiet. The racks inside are sturdy, compared to cheap and clunky.
Miele has a high end price in Australia..
Go to whirpool and read how many people buy miele products from the UK and europe and land them for around 40-50% of the price in australia.
Get your head out of your backside…
No one said that Meile are not great products…
mixo
p.s I thought Oz bargain was where you got deals(this is not in meile's interest here in australia)
I wouldn't call it a bargain or deal.
Miele have promotions every 3 months or so.
